Thx for reply Richard but noise was more toward back (was hoping it was something simple like that!) I'm fairly sure the filler cap was on ok Willie - this is the first and only time I heard the noise tho. It was after i thrashed the car in lovely hot weather for about 45 minutes. Noise did sound like it could be from behind the filler cap tho. Will put up again if it happens again. Fingers crossed!

Just got back from a 50-mile thrash through the countryside, got out the car and heard a fizzing leaking sound, as if a fluid was trying to escape through a tiny hole, coming from behind the nearside rear wheel. It slowed down after 5 mins, but when I rocked the back of the car it started up again. I'm worried :( Any ideas?
