a couple of months ago my front two water pipes going under the plenum cracked and had to be replaced - apparently its not too bad a job, tho it wasnt me that did it. if you want to trace in more detail where the leak is coming from, just pour a load of water into the rad cap and if its the front pipes then straight away the water will run down the front of the cam end covers, behind the bottom pulley and onto the floor.

i just moved from A-plan to Sky. A-plan were cracking, they saved me £700 on my previous premium, but ive added a second car and found that Sky could save me about £100 on the pair. agree with the comments above - the two guys at Sky i spoke to were deffo enthusiasts and knew their stuff. why cant we have a simple list somewhere, so when it comes to renewal time, people can just work their way down the list in search of the best quote.

i started with flux, then moved to A-Plan, am now with Sky. i intend to move around every year as i still feel im paying too much for my Z (£750 so far with 3 points and every mod declared). Sky's policy is good at the moment - like-for-like replacement for all mods.

F430 - then sell it and do my Z up to the t*ts

i bow down to Andy's knowledge, tho for each person that says x psi is a safe max, or y psi is a safe max, someone else will say they've run 16psi on stocks for years and not had a problem! its all down to the condition of your motor and how often it gets serviced (and a smattering of luck ;) ) i dont know the technical ins and outs of boost jets, though theyre small mig welding tips that go in the boost lines and allow boost to pick up higher than normal, although electronic controllers are much better (and more expensive) at this stage you dont need to worry about aftermarket intercoolers, though if you decide to go to the next stage, you need to think about uprated turbos, and larger injectors, etc. do you have an aftermarket boost gauge installed mate, as they are a very high priority when playing with power

as long as the engine and tubbies are in good nick then 14psi is fine, as long as you have a remapped/aftermarket eprom in your ecu to map the fuelling, otherwise it goes lean :nono: you'll only need uprated intercooler(s) when you push past 15/16psi. i have Z1 sidemounts - i would have fancied a FMIC but theres not enough space behind my bumper. how are you achieving 14psi mate? boost jets or EBC? ps. welcome to the club dude!

where's the best place to get trim kits to replace all the door cards and nasty tweed? some chap appears on ebay now and then but ive not seen him for a while. ive checked out Z centre too but their choice of colours is a little limited for what im looking for
