well yet another cracking evening. fooking gorgeous weather and a field packed with gorgeous cars :eek: nice to see you again Nick, Dave and Ivan. sorry Ed i didnt see you and i was hanging around Ivan's Z for ages (yours was about 8 cars down from his). Nick's silver laughing gas Z got plenty of attention (especially with the remote start :bow: ). i wonder if the other chap with the red Z will ever say hello :confused:

well the single turbos were the Z31s and they stopped in 1989, so by specifying 1990, import and turbo you should be ok. as Andy says, most insurance companies call imports Fairladys.

the EC1 is nice but not really what i was looking for. the bumper i purchased is the one ive always wanted since i first saw it :cool: ive been browsing various websites for it, then lo and behold a brand new one turns up on fleabay. copy obviously but im not fussed about that. lets hope the seller comes up with the goods. :nono: as for sideskirts ive gone for the veilside C2. i like the way they run up and follow the doorline.

ok thats cool guys thanks for that. what about jacking up though? i only have the standard wind-up jack which fits in the groove going along the bottom of the car. will the sideskirts prevent me from being able to use this method?

interesting you should mention that mate - im just taking a look at the hard plates that i got from fancyplates.com (almost a year ago now and theyve sat here waiting to be fitted), and they show no mark whatsoever! its only when i checked the web site, clicked on T&C and scrolled to the bottom that it says that all plates they make are for off-road only - so that even includes sensible ones! i suppose its no good displaying one without the BS mark (but with legal font etc) but carrying the original one in the boot in case you get pulled over is it? :( fookin ell why does it have to be so complicated in this age of technology. all they need to do is tap the plate number in and they can see its registered, insured and taxed ffs :rant: spoken like the end of each episode of the Apprentice: "Dave's search for a legal sticky-on number plate... continues..."

wow im surprised there so much negative opinion on it. yeah its a little too futuristic (isnt it based on a stealth fighter or something) but to me it looks so mean and powerful. not sure why its possible to climb inside the front arches though :confused:

im thinking about some sideskirts - as ive never had them on my Z before i need to ask, how much do they 'lower' the car by? i ask because im pushing my luck just getting into the driveway and im worried i'll ground the sideskirts if they come down below the standard skirts too much.

where's the best place that does 'soft' number plates? ive tried fancyplates but they dont do them.

after promising myself at the start of the year not to spend any more money on her after the rebuild... ...after buying a new interior... ...ive just gone and bought a new front bumper :headvswal :cry: the car made me do it I tell you!!!
