  1. are you sure? she had very short hair and stubble too  ;)
  2. this evening about 5.30 going towards Fleckney. not seen you around before :duffer:
  3. i started to get pops/bangs when i installed BOVs. i think its cos it runs rich briefly when you foot off the gas. when the engine is warm and off load, the oil pressure should be comfortably to the left somewhere. from cold mine goes about 3/4 of the way to the right, and reigns in over 10 minutes of steady driving. id have a look at the water gauge, like Forge says theyre pretty inaccurate, but they can help to identify when something's going wrong.
  4. PMSL! almost! "evening-officer-i-didnt-realise-the-blue-rear-panel-was-illegal-honest!" ... ... "sh*t!"
  5. err, good point. EXCEPT SUNDAY! lol
  6. im sure they can - they actually sent me a gearshift gaitor by mistake, but were very helpful and quick to replace. like Nick says I bet they could make up pretty much anything you wanted.
  7. welcome back, you naughty little boy :slap: :)
  8. i was going to say! lunch! hello? you dont have dinner at midday! its simple: Supper, Breakfast, Lunch, Elevenses, Tea, Coffee. err hang on
  9. it was a factory-fitted extra in Japan only. they're slightly illegal over here, depending on the colour IIRC. ive not had any trouble yet and i had a copper following behind me at night the other night. [touches wood]
  10. lol, LEFT, no RIGHT! ffs!
  11. same guy as Groover got his from: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/foudabuzaid cant find the Nismo gearshift gaitor from my history, but i found them just by browsing for '300zx' every fortnight or so (i should try and make that every year or so :headvswal )
  12. IIRC it belonged to an ex-member on here, cant remember their username tho.
  13. that bloody mutt just bit my finger off!
  14. got my two from ebay as well. theyre often popping up from time to time and usually work out reasonably-priced compared to the catalogues - I got a Nismo shift gaitor and a 300ZX Turbo handbrake gaitor.
  15. £290 delivered for 2+2, bit less than that for 2-only.
  16. yeah i noticed that and was tempted to buy an extra lot for the interior while i was ordering the seats but i didnt want to get it all at once in case i wasnt happy with the quality.
  17. ive not had any trouble with my short-shifter, although my gears (especially first) were very tricky to get in in the first place
  18. tbh i wasnt too fussed what the material was Si, my standard leather is in pretty poor shape and all things considered this item was just what i was looking for pricewise and lookswise. ill be looking for a vinyl or similar trim kit soon too. Hey up Nick, ive still got 750 miles left to go, the Zs just being an awkward git. MOT time at the end of the month and the rear wheel bearings need doing too :headvswal ah well she'll soon be back in shape ( :x: ) how's the silver one doing bud? ive not spoken to you for ages, lol!
  19. just as Retro said really. i had the ALC2 installed in my auto and although there was definately a noticable improvement in accelleration, a few months later down the line i was down to 2 gears and a manual conversion :headvswal . id recommend with rebuilt boxes only
  20. yeah theyre usually knocking around ebay. i was a little cautious when i was thinking about making the purchase, but im really pleased with the quality. about 6 week turnaround time. good choice of colours too and quite flexible in what you can ask for.
  21. just thought id show off my custom seat replacement leatherette  cant wait to get it installed, but first i want to replace the crappy tweed with a similar dark blue, and perhaps go for the aluminium dash cover too. i also have a wide horizontal pod to fit one of my Apexi gadgets, new handbrake gaitor, and a sexy Nissan fire extinguisher. but first the Z has to behave itself as its MOT time at the end of this month and she's been behaving quite badly since the rebuild (needed connections soldering from PTU s1 adapter to s2 as sometimes it would drop a couple of cylinders, broken water pipes at front of engine required me to get it recovered back to mine, then back to Mickey's, and now im losing boost through a gap somewhere near the manifold im sure of it - happened to me before, i think its cos i have to reverse diagonally up onto my driveway and something in the engine bay doesnt like twisting, oh and she's still running a little warmer than normal FFS, so she's not getting anything new until she behaves! :slap:). ps excuse the bed throw :o :o
  22. i have the same problem mate :( my name's Dave and I've been a Z owner for 5 years. this is my first session. after the full rebuild at the start of this year I resolved not to spend any money modifying her in 2008. got a few hundred quid bonus from last year so purchased some custom seat leathers all round and I intend to replace the tweed too, but while im still having running in issues im not going forward with any of that
