  1. ok, so my setup is like a rotated H then - twin filters, into one pipe, through the MAF at its standard location, then split back into two as usual. i might have a crack at putting her on tomorrow then. thanks Bantam but i already got one ;)
  2. fyi this was the kind of look i was toying with, obviously not totally black (and yes i know this is a track car). as i said i think it would match the smoked side reps, and the anthracite alloys im going for, but Brian makes a good point about insurance in the dark. Pete - much better mate ;)
  3. lokked him up so ah can bet miself some lexus rear litez innit giiiii
  4. lol well the side repeaters are smoked and i thought it would all work together - trust me this aint an idea i got from lax power! but i guess that's all it'll stay. oh well, on with the rest!
  5. cool, i was worried she'd go mega-lean  so the standard MAF can measure the extra air ok then?
  6. ok, ive got a twin intake kit (two apexi's T'd up into a single pipe) and have read several threads about what also needs to be done, but getting confused as some further mods only need to be done with the doolz or seperate filter kits (wideband o2 sensors/twin maf/apexi safc/fook knows what else!). as my kit still only feeds into one pipe, is it just a matter of remapping the chip or is there something else i need to do?
  7. no, theyre not smoking, but i want to smoke them! is this legal? and with a decent beam behind them (say HID) would they still provide any light? im guessing this idea's not going to last long.... :smw:
  8. i can imagine the N/A, with its cam profile and closer gearing perhaps getting a nose ahead for a while, but the TT will comfortably beat it. do a search on youtube for the vid where all the Zs from 240Z to 350Z race on top gear. although Gio, the driver of the TT, said the start was a bit wonky as they didnt have proper racing lights, the TT destroys all very comfortably (including the renault ;) ) oh, they edited the lights in at the end ;)
  9. nice one mate - I knew you'd get sorted pretty quick! :)
  10. i will do mate, though theyve had some nasty kerbing - i used them to attack a roundabout a couple of years ago
  11. Paul you are a legend - these are them!! pure p0rn to me these are! i think with the blue car and smoked side repeaters these'll look the knackers! im literally drooling over them :slap:
  12. as my plans near completion (bwuhahahaha!!!) im looking for a specific style of alloys - 18". ive seen them once and fell in love with them, and never seen them since. theyre very very similar to stock 350z - 6 or 7 spoke, nice and simple, flat, no shaping, slightly convex, no studs all around the rim that need washing with cheese wire, and preferably in gunmetal or anthracite. has anyone come across my dream wheels?!
  13. lol, we did that last year at Tamworth - farming machinery - the works!! (but plenty of 'softness' to go with the rusty metal ;) im sure the guys know what i mean) shame though as i have a brand new exterior and interior sat in the spare room waiting to be fitted - which'll take ages as im enjoying driving her again after being Z-less for so long over the past year. i'll certainly pop along though - and keep my eyes open in the mean time
  14. lol thats a brill idea Allan  why is it always the simplest ideas are the best!?
  15. hasnt that one been up for sale on there before? and definately a Mac jibe there!
  16. sorry to hear this mate, and thanks for all the work that you put in over the months
  17. get one of those digital readout jobbies that sucker to your windscreen, cant remember what theyre called now. failing that, just get someone to sit in the passenger seat with a stopwatch and do a few 0-60s :D
  18. fookin ell mate and to think that when this had been mentioned before it wasnt really taken seriously :o i think its worth everyone checking this on their Z as IIRC this is the 3rd time its happened?. and i know what you mean about throwing thousands of £££s at it and the Z still not appreciating it. just think, sometime in the distant future it'll be a rotting shell in a scrapyard somewhere, pining for its previous loving owner
  19. blimey youve done well to get that. ive not seen a blue screen of death for years! im not saying my system is 100% stable of course. what op sys and what message are you getting?
  20. mate that looks stunning! time for a new sig! ;)
