K*** MFM - Gun Metal Grey - Tesco, Bangor & Ysbyty Gwynedd
I keep seeing this Z in the car park at work (Ysbyty Gwynedd) & I saw it in Tesco, Bangor last week. Seen it when I was coming back through mid-wales some time back too. Dying to know if this person's on here somewhere.

Z350!!! What a load a Rubbish
Saw 300s & 350s racing at Sebring, FL last year (must post up the video)- not much between them on corners but 300 had more straight line power. Both looked stock.

So so so so gutted......
Sorry to hear about this Yas especially after you being so near to sorting the suspension problem out. If I can help you out at all with this don't hesitate to contact me. Dave.

Low boost woes
Ahh - now it makes sense. Didn't realise they worked like that! I've got a spare det sensor - if that doesn't work I will try the resistor as you suggest. Not sure if it's worth a mention here but the ECU is fitted with a JWT chip. Thanks for the advice - it's much appreciated. Dave.

Low boost woes
Hi Paul - Yes - did get code 34. Weird thing is that if I disconnect the safety boost solenoid valve connectors, the Max boost is still the same?? I'm sure the boost has always been a little on the low side since I bought it but have only recently checked it properly. Thanks Dave

Low boost woes
Thanks Paul- didn't know saftey boost was ~7psi, thought it was ~5 - will check it tonight. Cheers Dave

Low boost woes
 HELP! - My Zed's running a very max boost pressure of 6.4 psi with stock setup. Checked for leaks - none found. Changed a bent wastegate diapragm housing which I knocked when fitting the engine but this made virtually no difference to the max boost. Reset ECU but still same. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Naff boost
Yes, copied another set up so must be OK! Car has never been that powerful so I suspect there's been an issue with it since day 1. Cheers Dave

Naff boost
Struggling after fitting an HKS EVC boost controller. Installed as it should be will only give a max of 9-10 psi even if set to max  When SBC completely disconnected won't run more than 5psi - )EVC reading and analogue guage readings). If one of the turbos was shot would I get 0 psi or could this be the cause because the balance bar might be compensating? I'm certain there's no leaks. Don't think it's in safety boost either. Cheers DaveMac.

Serious vibration under heavy braking
I put my trusty old solid discs back on and hey presto - there's no vibration at all. :) The drilled/grooved discs were virtually brand new when I bought the car so I don't rate them at all after that. Thanks everyone for your help in diagnosing it. Dave.

Serious vibration under heavy braking
Thanks everyone. I'm gonna change the discs tomorrow! Cheers Dave.

Serious vibration under heavy braking
Hi. Just wondering if anyone has encountered this. I've replaced the tie bars which did nothing. It doesn't do it in reverse only forwards so can't be disk warp. I think the tracking may be toeing in slightly because the tyres seem to be rapidly wearing on the outer edge. The camber of the road seems to affect which way the car "pulls" too. Can toe-in cause vibration ? maybe under heavy braking the wheels are toeing inwards even more? Any suggestions would be helpful as I'm stuck with this one. Car has just been MOT'd too! Thanks Dave.

Was the ref a total w@nker?
Just been over the bridge onto Anglesey and would you f00kin believe it. Some Welsh-Nationalist Tw@t has put up a banner with "Viva Portugal" on it (same place where my Zed got crashed into.) I'd love to catch the b@stards at it one day. Why is it that most of us will support any of the home sides but you NEVER see them tw@ts supporting England. Let's face it it's pure jealousy because them f00kers NEVER qualify! Thank fook they don't run the country.

Was the ref a total w@nker?
Well I hope Greece win cos a) I always want the underdogs to win b) I don't like arrogant tw@ts c) I'll win £50 at work!!

Was the ref a total w@nker?
That's the worst collection of contraversial decisions I have EVER seen. It reminded me of Mexico '86 - The hand of God and all that. Let's face it - The reason he was such a w@nker is because if the "officials" aren't British they just don't want us to win anything - remember last year's Eurovision. I just think we're always gonna be F*cked in Europe by these tw@ts who are supposed to be impartial. OK we were pretty crap on the night but that's probably a lot to do with having 24hrs less recovery time than the opposition from the group matches. Beckham wasn't up to much and should have been subbed. I can't bear to watch the rest of it now - often the side who knocks us out goes on to win. The only people smiling around here are the Welsh! Think there'll be a lot of this tonight.> :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:

High Tickover
Thanks Paul - I've sorted it now - I'd connected the RH wastegate control pipe to the wrong pipe at the front where the intercooler (to/from) pipes are! The giveaway was when I took it for a run and there was no boost either! Cheers Dave.

High Tickover
I have just finishing transferring my trusty old engine to my new Z and the tickover is approx 1500 rpm +/- 200 rpm. The only difference is that I've fitted an RPS lightweight flywheel which is 11lbs instead of the stock 22lbs unit - could this be the reason? anyone else had this? Cheers Dave.

Help please, car not starting!
If you have a multi-meter, get someone to hold the key fully clockwise(starter on) and check for 12v on the single spade connector which is right next to the starter. If there's 12v there than it's the starter motor itself (or the big thick 12V wire to the starter is iffy - not likely tbh). If there's volts there but less than 12 - say 9 then that's usually a corroded connection somewhere. If it's 0v then you may well be looking at an immobiliser fault. A good way of testing the starter is to leave the ignition on and run a wire from the + terminal of the battery to the starter end of this connector but MAKE SURE IT'S NOT IN GEAR! - my Dad ran over his foot once doing this - lol. When you check the voltages, it's best to jam a wire going to the red meter lead in between the two connector ends(connectors pushed into each other as normal) so you can measure the supply under load. Obviously the black meter lead goes to the chassis for ground. Hope you sort it mate. Dave

Red Zed in Preston
Hmm, not sure if it had a wing though, Shaun?? looked pretty stock from a distance. I was driving a Primera diesel at the time so I'd have had as much chance of catching it as I would in a Reliant Robin!

Birds and engine cranes don't mix
Bl00dy hell. I never thought of that. That'll be the NEXT thing She does! She's already driven into the garage door. Thanks Mark - I'll ask next door if they'll let me rent their driveway!!!! I did actually hire a different hoist to put he engine back in and it was more stable. Dave.

Differences between N/A & TT Auto
Does anyone know if there are any differences between the N/A autobox and the TT? I can't see anything in the manual but someone once said that the bell housings need to be swapped. Thanks
