  1. Me - L.M.F.A.O!!! Missus - D.I.V.O.R.C.E!!! (But Dolly Parton's are bigger :D)
  2. No, we were lucky cos it was a sunny day and usually there's loads of kids about playing footy n stuff. Got to keep going out to warn them cos they sit on it and it's unsafe now. Must ring a brickie v soon!
  3. lol! Thankfully that's the duff engine. I know there's a lot of castles in Wales but I'm not that wealthy and never will be at this rate!!
  4. I asked my girlfriend to help me steady the engine the other week as the crane was tending to lean to one side slightly. She shrieked "I can't do this I'm a woman" and let go of the chain. This was the result!! :- http://rides.300zx.co.uk/rides/2715/nowall.jpg I wasn't amused at the time but boy it was funny watching passing drivers' faces   as they saw the V6 in the middle of the road!! Thankfully no damage was done (except to the wall!).
  5. Thanks for that. I found the figures eventually on the CD but those bell housing torque figures will come in useful. Cheers Dave
  6. Does anyone know what torque these should be tightened to? Also is loctite needed? Thanks Dave
  7. I'll let you know!!!
  8. Good point about it looking Nova/Corsa ish. Every fooker and their dog are fitting clear lights at the mo and most new cars have em so who wants to blend in with them! Anyway they'll be out of fashion before you know it.
  9. I wondered what it was that made it look sheight!!! By the way I sent the balance bar yesterday morning so shouldn't be long now mate. Here's the cheaper option for LEDs:- http://www.norbsa02.freeuk.com/goffyleds.htm
  10. Just fixed one of them Bush internet TVs for me mate and guess what? - He's got a mister 2 too!! shame though cos I wanted to dump some porn on it for his bird to find but it has no cache memory! Never mind, I'll wait till he brings me his PC one day!!
  11. http://www.clearcorners.com/products/nissan/300ZX2/R_full/ A bit expensive though.
  12. I remember seeing someone in a BRAND NEW Merc struggling to get his immobiliser off after a steam clean in the middle of Moss Side!!! Not a good idea at all - he was there for hours. Anyway if it's too clean, it'll only rust!
  13. Duhh - I automatically thought they'd done both handles cos I didn't wait to see all of both pics (till now!!). The trip went well thanks but took about 5 hrs (stopped for chips though in Walsall). Slept like a baby after that!!! Still haven't fitted that spoiler - too busy trying to fit the engine/box still!! Dave
  14. Jock. Which side did you find?? Mine's a passenger side handle. Dave
  15. Stoopid little tw@ts need a good batting. I've got 1 spare handle you can have for nowt mate. Unfortunately it's black though. Dave
  16. Nice one mate! Didn't take you long and it looks great! P&P cheque ready for deployment! Dave.
  17. I'd rather have a car that's easier to drive and an engine which will stay in place and put up with the vibrations. Let's face it most of us only take them out for a "blast"! Thanks for all your comments everyone. Dave.
  18. Sorry to hear about that tw@t causing that mate. I think all boy-racer type Corsa drivers should be put on an island and entered into a self-destruction derby. Some tw@t ran into mine a few months ago but it's all sorted now. You'll be the winner financially mate. It's just a pain in the @rse having no Z for a while.
  19. I recently removed 2 engines, 2 mounts off 1 engine were in 2 halves and on the other, 1 was in 2 halves but the other was half ripped so I'm not surprised you read that! I'm gonna give the solid ones a blast cos I don't want the engine putting dents in the bonnet. The Missus will just have to put up with the vibrations - he he!! Dave
  20. Gone are the days of spending loads of money on an old Mini only to find out that it's still slower than an XR2! 520 BHP - Bl00dy Hell!! Well done mate - definately good times for the standing 1/4.
  21. I've got a heavy duty angle grinder you can borrow! Hi Jock - eventually got home at 1 am!!!! Dave.
  22. I remember cutting a corner on a B road at about 85 in a Citroen but someone came around the corner towards me over the white line so I swerved to miss him, got round the corner sideways and fought the back end about four times - one way then the other across both lanes and eventually ended up in reverse with all 4 wheels locked until I came to a standstill. I remember heading towards a huge rockface sideways (partly on the grass) thinking I was definately going to die but somehow it gripped again. It slowed me down after that! But then I bought a Zed!!
  23. Does anyone know Jock's phone number? Thanks DaveMac.
  24. Yeah. I've just bought some from Smithy. They're made of solid Aluminium(I think!) with a threaded bolt at either end (no rubber at all). I'm just worried that due to the gearbox end being able to move still that eventually one of the bolts might shear, wear or become loose. Also I'm worried that it might be like driving a tank!! unless the subframe mounts absorb the vibration before it's transmitted to the shell. Lots of unknowns here really. Can they be removed easily once the engine is in place?
