import duty USA to canada
Usually there's no duty if it's being shipped to a different state. Otherwise it's around 6%. Either way it's fook all compared to the UK's 17.5% FFS. If anyone on here needs an Electronic/IT Engineer in Canada, then I'm gone ;) .

Simba - R.I.P
Sorry to hear about this. My dog died on my 18th Birthday. I'd had him since I was 6. Remember that there will be a time when you can look back at the fond memories, but without the pain. Chin up matie.

Rubbish cars
Bought what I though was a tidy 1999 LPG vectra on Saturday. All was going well until until it died on me on the way to work this morning  . Turns out that one of the coilpack drive outputs from the ECU is fed to the LPG computer. The wire used was about as thick as my iPod headphone wire and it has shorted out to the engine block. So far I have discovered that the ECU output on cylinder 1 is fooked and coil number 1 has gone into meltdown. Ran an ECU diag last night (before all this happened) and it reported a dodgy MAF (seller told me this was the only fault,) knock sensor on cyl 4, an air temp sensor and an exhaust gas sensor faulty. I feel like I've been ripped off tbh, but it also angers me that a modern ECU, numerous sensors and a coilpack can fook up so easily. Also, why are all 4 coilpacks glued together? My Zed is 10 years older and pisses on this piece of shit in every possible way  .

Fuel blockade?
It would take something similar to the Poll Tax riots to change fuel tax in this Country. In France it was a different story. This place has no industry anymore, thanks to privatisation and takeovers. We will always be taxed to the hilt to pay for our booming service industry, most of which is a product of EU Directives.

who wants to buy a service history
My missus bought her car with only 7k on the digital clock. When she went back to collect the service booklet, (which they had "misplaced") they couldn't find it and never did. I've had to fit a new head gasket and pressure plate/clutch already. I don't know why so many people trust garages so much. Anyone can buy a rubbish warranty with more Terms and Conditions than a bank loan. I don't trust any dealer more than I would trust a private seller.

She's always seemed a bit weird, but I'd put up with that - my Zed's a bit weird, but it still goes :D .

Fuel blockade?
The organiser of the 2000 blockade, Brynle Williams, was on Welsh TV tonight, saying that another blockade was imminent. Strange that there's no mention of it on his website. He's been made an Assembly Member for North Wales since 2000, so I reckon he's more likely to act as a peace-maker between the Hauliers and the Government rather than a protest leader. It's funny how farmers have such close links with our councils and governments and how their land seems to get sold off, just before a major housing project begins  . http://www.brynlewilliams.com/

wheelie bin fine
When I was growing up in Preston I remember them collecting the old galvanised bins from around the back of the house every week. They weighed a fooking ton and they were a happier bunch than they are now!

Hmmm. Maybe we should start distilling!

fuel protest
In 1982, premium fuel in the US was $1.49 a gallon. I got it for $2.89 per gallon this fooking July from a "Racetrac" station. It's only just about doubled in price since 1982 FFS. In Britain it's probably gone up tenfold. We ARE being screwed. This site illustrates that point:- http://www.usa-vs-uk.com/petrol.html Here's a pdf, showing how taxation has varied since 1896. No wonder there was a fuel protest in 2000! http://www.theaa.com/public_affairs/reports/Petrol_Prices_1896_todate_gallons.pdf

How NOT to drive a Veyron in public.......
The guy on the moped must be feeling lucky  . What a tw@t - I mean what's the point in driving like that in a rubbish Eurobox anyway? This was funny:- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qbdim66k8d0&NR=1 The American commentator even refers to the driver as a knob lol!

Let the bodging begin.
;) I bought one off ebay and it works great. It's so much easier to use, especially when you've no room under the car. Thanks for the link!

"Stand up at public toilets to avoid unhygienic seats and smelly portable loos." Imagine if she forgot to close the door - it would be that scene from Mrs Doubtfire!

Let the bodging begin.
BOC's prices have gone up since I signed up with them in 2000. It's about £40 a refill now, so make sure you knock of the main gas tap when your done! Does anyone know how much the autodark masks cost? I just bought a normal one for £15.

honda S2000 anyone???
That's cheap for a Z28. Shouldn't cost too much to fix up and it'll be worth at least double what you paid for it.
