decat pipes 4 tt
My personal opinion is that those people who thought they immediately blew their seals, after removing the cats, probably already had knackered seals. The cats were probably helping to absorb some of the smoke generated by the already duff seals. Obviously if their cars were absolutely billowing out smoke then this wouldn't be true!

Climate control display drive (7 segment)
Does anyone remember whether the fluorescent display inside the climate control pod has its own display drive circuitry or if it's part of the climate control ECU near the heater matrix? Mine has gone very dull and there's no point in me changing the pod if the fault is inside the ECU itself. Cheers.

More pics from the rebuild
That looks awesome. Looks like you've also got a daughter who likes to join in with the rebuild - Fair play!

feds done mi!!
God forbid, should ANPR miss one plate. Most people who fit smaller plates are usually insured and can afford to tax their vehicles. If we were still an exporting nation with some industry left, and not one that opens our borders for cheap foreign labour, then there would be no need for the government, and ultimately the police, to have to scrape the bottom of the barrel like this. I blame the government of the 1980's. They sold off all that our forefathers ever worked for and gave huge tax breaks to top earners, who then spent their money on foreign goods and didn't plough any of it back into the country as the government had expected. Damn - I need a holiday:D

Parts from other cars that fit the 300ZX?
Not for Trans Am seals. I went to the only supplier (NPD) over there and they wanted silly money for the seals. I also locked my keys in the boot of the hire car outside that place too. That was a very shit day:mac1:!

Will the rubber seals off the Z targas fit a Trans Am? I know someone who needs a full set of seals for a 78 T/A.

What's happened to Google?
It's fixed already! I've never seen it go down before. It still defaults to .fr if you try google.com though. Might just be AOL's proxy acting up.

What's happened to Google?
Bonjour! Looks like google.co.uk must have gone down, because both my Mac and PC are defaulting to google.fr (France) instead of .co.uk. Is anyone else getting the same?

Intermittant Brake Wobble
Wasn't there an issue with poly bushes which caused metal fatigue to occur in the front chassis brackets to which they are attached? I thought the rose-jointed ones were the only safe option.

what does this switch do?
Mine passes every year with no fog light. Someone I work with brought his Celica over from Arizona in '93 and although it still has red rear indicators and orange side lights, it passes every year at the same garage!

Modified 300's oil comsuption
I wouldn't expect to have lost ALL my oil after 1000 miles on a newly built engine FFS. Give the guy a break! Something must have been omitted during the rebuild for this to have happened. My car has been running close to 400 fwhp on the original stock internals for donkeys' years which has also covered many miles. It has NEVER used that amount of oil or anywhere near it.

Of all the times to take down the DVLA site
Just when everyone needs to tax their cars at the end of the month, what do they do? Hmmm, what shall we do boys? I know - let's take down the site on the 30th of March FFS. :xxx: http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/?SKIN=directgov

VH45DE in Z32
Just noticed some of the youtube comments about being able to mount a 6-speed gearbox onto the VH45DE, which is shown running in a Z32. Is this true:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWSaCqOa2sw&feature=related

Weird coincidences
I grew up in Preston and now live on Anglesey, N. Wales. I was driving home tonight with my workmate and saw an old Landrover. I was just about to say "that's like the one my uncle used to own," when I realised it WAS my Uncle. He was 130 miles from home and still driving the Landrover which I remember him driving in the 70's. Needless to say I was stunned because I haven't seen him since I was a nipper and he was still driving the same Landrover which he bought 40 years ago!

revs dipping on pulling away
I had exactly the same fault and yes it did my head in! It turned out to be the airflow meter. Power at higher revs was down too though.

Advice on recovering costs from Council
Thanks guys. I phones them up about this and you have to prove negligence. Apparently no-one else reported it, (no surprises there) so there's basically fook all I can do.

Advice on recovering costs from Council
I recently damaged the front bumper on my Z after hitting what can only be decribed as one of the deepest potholes I've ever seen. I wrote to the Gwynedd County Council and even included pictures, showing the pothole, and maps. They wrote to me today saying that as nothing had come up in previous inspections so they weren't prepared to pay out. It's funny how the fookers were out fixing all the potholes last week and now I receive this. I'm so pissed off it's untrue  If anyone has any advice on this I'd be glad to hear from you.
