  1. You've got a very dirty mind:D:rofl: I must edit that picture lol!
  2. I remember that coming out! Check out the last post on this Youtube video. The man himself! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nPA6vwKIBGQ&feature=related
  3. Just spent a good few nights in the Aerodrome in Croydon on an Apple course. Just noticed there's a few members from that area on here. We visited some pubs there, but why is there always a HUGE queue to get into Tiger Tiger? We couldn't be bothered waiting, so went into the Reflex bar instead. Had a great time down there though:)
  4. I'm running the AndyP chip too now (based on Nisstek SE) so these votes could be added together. Needless to say I was shocked by the difference. It is outstanding.
  5. That's a relief then!!:) Maybe I'll cane it more often lol! Cheers Brian.;)
  6. The weird thing is that when I give it some it disappears altogether. Big ends would get much worse after a good thrashing. It seemed quieter today, so maybe the VVT system is sticking perhaps? I've still got the Atari 800 in the loft lol!
  7. I ditched my diesel Focus in favour of the Z 2 years ago. I'm glad I did now after seeing it for sale around here for £1.29 per litre. I accept that luxury items don't come cheap, but OPEC are deliberately under-producing oil to keep their profits high. They have been asked why their prices are so high and they have cleverly blamed production costs. This prevents commissions from demanding that they step up production. It's a stalemate situation.
  8. It isn't the VVT springs:(
  9. Cheers fellas. I changed them tonight, but it's too late to test it now. The oil level is checked regularly and has never dropped below half way between Min & Max. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. If it's still playing up I'm gonna check the solenoid operation with Conzult.
  10. One of these usually does the trick!
  11. I thought I heard a similar sound to a blowing manifold this morning, but it disappeared after a few miles! Maybe the VVTs are sticking so that the valves aren't closing as early as they should at lower revs and hence the noise? Thanks Andy - I'll definitely change those springs this weekend;)
  12. I'm not a fan of either team, but I'd much rather see Fergie celebrate a win.
  13. Hi Andy. I carried out everything in the the 120K service, except fitting the VVT springs because I needed the car the next day! The car has only done 78K, so I thought they wouldn't be worn out just yet - sounds like I'm wrong lol!
  14. Hi all. When I first start the engine, there is a tapping noise for about one second - that's been the case for the last 5 years off and on, but now it's started occurring after around 5 miles of warming up, but only at between 1800 & 2000 RPM. If I drive 200 miles, the noise disappears almost completely! I feared that it was the crank at first, but it doesn't seem to have got any worse since I noticed it about 500 miles ago. From memory, whenever a crank starts to knock, it goes down hill very quickly. BTW my AIVs were removed long ago. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  15. I love emails like this! Funny 'cause I don't really know the bloke either! Hey Dave, You're a legend! By the way it was you i saw the other day driving that sweet 300zx wasn't it??! Damn, i've wanted one of them for ages! Don't tell Elfyn but it kicks his Clio's arse anyday of the week! I'm logging out now... Cheers, Benjamin
  16. I suppose we have to remember his age. We have all done daft things, most of which would most likely have been when we were around his age. I'm sure when he gets older he'll realise his mistakes, not just the driving, but his attitude in court afterwards. If not, then there's something fooking lacking upstairs.
  17. I have, but it angers me that he sped again, showed no remorse, didn't apologise to the family and lied in court saying "The father had the little girl in his lap" when she was, in fact, ripped from her seat by the impact:(.
  18. You are right, they aren't all like that - probably just a bigger proportion of em. I was angry when I made the original post lol!
  19. I wouldn't do 70 in a 30mph zone on the wrong side of the road, half kill someone's daughter and then go tonning it down the M6 afterwards;)
  20. I think we should all go out and buy aluminium bins again. That'll give the fookers something real to moan about! Also, this is the fifth conversation I've heard this week involving people seriously considering moving abroad. At this rate we're going to die out like Red Indians!
  21. I totally agree mate. My Mum's partner is 70 and is pretty well off, but also really nice bloke who'll help you whenever he can. Its the newer generation of millionaires - they are a really cold and sad bunch of people.
  22. There's a faster one out soon. Also the phone providers are apparently going to be left with a few, once the new one is out. http://uk.gizmodo.com/2008/04/04/iphone_price_slashed_to_78_in.html I bought one last summer and thought it was excellent, but sold it once I got back here lol!
  23. He even lied in court and made out the father had the baby on his lap. I really hope this twat dies a horrible death. She even looks like my daughter in the pictures before the crash. He would simply not be living now if she were mine. http://www.birminghammail.net/news/top-stories/2008/04/24/man-jailed-for-crash-which-left-baby-brain-damaged-97319-20813630/ http://www.birminghammail.net/news/birmingham-news/2008/04/04/cerys-edwards-s-family-vow-we-will-never-give-up-on-her-97319-20719662/ http://www.birminghammail.net/news/black-country/2008/04/02/antonio-boparan-singh-parents-worth-130m-from-chicken-empire-97319-20706787/ Just in case anyone wants to voice their opinion! Oh - and the family business is worth £130,000,000 - I wonder how he got off so lightly?
  24. Thanks guys - mine's the same and has bugged me for years!
