  1. suppose that is the disadvantage with jets as they do spike and 1.1-1.2 bar is way too much on those mods. its detting and going into saftey.
  2. yeah i got the brace and fitted it. pedal feels slighty more solid. the bolt that pushes on the cyclinder needs to be a bit bigger i think, but its doin the job :)
  3. what mods you got mate?
  4. hi :)
  5. There is safty boost and extended boost saftey is 7psi extended 9-10
  6. you can unscrwew and unplug the coil pack thn with car running see if it sparks well on something metalic on the engine preferably near where it sits. also see if it arks out the side of the rubber that would be a sign of a buggard one.
  7. :x: :( :nelson:
  8.  na u didnt...
  9. hay i didnt write that, you must have come up with that on your own mate ;)
  10. Mate you are a legend im on it 2mow. im going to give them numbers ago 2mow. Thanks alot dude.
  11. saw this silver beast today on my way to work parked up dont know the name of the road but its jst past kentish town station i think. was real nice too. after market spolier i think.
  12. Thats very reasuring im happy now :) its nice to know others have had work done with him. Thanks :)
  13. il mention that to them next time i phone as he is prob getting annoyed now. but if the tensioner is new then im not having it replaced as i have reciepts for a recent cambelt change which im sure they would have done the tensioner
  14. i just spoke to them this second and already said to check the clutch for wear and about the bearing as it is noisy. but hes not starting on it till wednesday. I also mentioned the hours and that i want an honest price and talked bout the forum, and he said he will be honest so that i recommend him and that i come back so i trust them so far :)
  15. its a manual. £700 is with parts, yeah i was thinking bout changing the clutch but it has "just been done" by previous owner, but the release bearing is very noisy so i might tell them to just replace that too.
  16. so what you recon i should say to scott then at nexus? how could i put it? hi scot i know mechanics who can fit a clutch in 3.5 hours your a coont bend over?
  17. is that how much it is then coz i didnt do the math. how much would you charge andy?
  18. too be honest with this kinda job i just want it done properly and without getting dirty. just want it done without the hassle. although id love to be able to do it myself but i just dont have the tools. what do others think of the price? he said labour for the gearbox to come off and replace seal is 280 without parts. and bout the same for cambelt without parts i thought that was about right no?
  19. well they said its 40 quid and hour and changing all rear seals. and changing timing belt with the seal too. im not an expert with garage prices as ive never really booked a car for work before.
  20. Well nexus performance have had a good look underneath the car while running to see where my oil is leaking from. seems to be a leak from the front AND the rear so for the front the cambelt is being removed and changed as it is coming from a pully of some sort, For the rear the gearbox needs removing to further investigate second leak which seems to be a crank seal. so if the leaks are what he says they are 700 odd quid is a guestimation at the mo. Well it needs doing so gota get did. I was expecting around the £500 mark but there you have it. i dont feel gutted to be honest as this is my little project and im happy to spend money on something i enjoy driving and work on. Im sure there is more money to be spent along the line. at least i know everything will be running sweet once its done :) What do you guys think?
  21. well there you have it. go and fit them today :) while your at it fit poly bushings and adjustable top arms you wont look back :)
  22. your existing shocks wont last long anyhow, you will have to replace them sooner or later so you may aswell fit them and have it done with. 15 year old shocks are more than likely to be fubard.
  23. what bout the crumple zone all tested road cars are suppose to have? what would this one have????
  24. what happens if your a bit typsy one day and dig in to the beer stash next to the chemicals and accidentally drink a pint of fairy liquid?
