they are hiden, they are on each side of the engine just beside the turbo intake manifolds they are little round shaped things kinda like a smarties pack chopped to a quarter the size with two little pipes going in and out of it.

standard leather seats are not black they are dark grey :) but yeah they pretty much look black.

yah im guna give me insurers a call soon and tell them a few things.

certainly could be the cause. see water slowly condensates inside the exhausts especially over time and if its been raining then water will be trapped inside and once the engine is started and the exhausts heat up the water heats up and creates steam thats what your seeing coming out simple, but if the head gasket has blown water is seeping around the head and the heat of the engine is boiling the water and then then it comes out thru the exhausts.

if its steam and is still steaming alot once warmed up could be sign of head gasket. if its blue oily smoke when idling then turbo seals. if its blue smoke when accelerating then rings or something internal :(
