there is no rust under my car but there has been some poor jacking in the past including my own. the lip has colapsed ive had that happen to a few cars. but now that it has colapsed its got a slight hint of rust where the bear metal is showing. whats the best thing to do to it you think?

yeah i kept driving past it, and its a one way so i had to keep driving round and round ahhh frustrating. found it eventually by walking there.

Im going to take my calipers out at some stage and give them a good clean. i wanna clean the pistons as i think they may be slighty siezed. i also wanna paint them either red or silver. ive already drained the fluid and im using dot 4.

my car is a MESS crummy spolier, one odd wheel, dent in the front right panel. empty crisp packets and crap inside. hasnt been cleaned for ages. but then when you look under the car its a different story..... not a spot of rust, full suspension overhaul.. swwwweeeeet. dont judge a book by its cover. im leaving bodywork till last.

well when it come to wiring i like to solder and not just tape them up. but i dont leave metres of wire everywhere.

I just dropped my car in last week to cure an oil leak also includes cam belt new clutch thrust bearing, replace prop bearing. so till thats done i cant really tell ya.

Ok today i visited RBS and inquired about the cctv footage, they said they are unable to lease the video to anyone including insurers personel etc. due to rights etc. so i then rang john chapman and asked him about the footage and he said the same thing, i also told him that tracy had goten hold of the video and that this was unfair. He said this was wrong and shouldnt of happened, he said he will have a look into it. if she did see the footage is another story, she is prob fibbing. so looks like its down to the insurers to do their investigating.

i love a bit of bodge as long as it cant be seen hehe

yeah sounds about right. i bought mine for 2 grand and knew what needed fixing replacing etc. ended up being 10 times more in the end. I didnt think i was going to go all out on one but i fell in love, so i dumbed my gf and started a new relationship. Theres been some hard times. shes been bleeding alot and is now in hospital. should be out by end of next week. il give her a good riding when im next inside her.

if it goes for under 2000 then its by all means worth it but its best not to buy a lie. just harder to sell. but as above if its a project your after than thats a different story i suppose. go have a look take it for a log test drive. look underneath the car for rust etc altho imports are less likely to have corrosion. check for funny noises bringit right up to temp check for smoke... you know the score.

your not alone dude. i will have spent 3 grand by the end of next week and ive only had mine 3months. mostly on just making it right.

i recon with as little milage as that youd probbaly find more probs than one above 60 as it would have already had most of the main things changed. although the engine would be sweet with little milage. but 27000 is way too low for for that age, but as an import theres no way to tell. unless you get hold of the jap service history. and i dont think the prop bearing would wear out with this low milage. but age could play a part in wearing it. also check wear on the throttle pedal brake pedal and clutch pedal this is a good way to tell milage on a car.
