The step gap just gives it a better seal. I wasnt quite sure what the 360 thrust does. i know what they look like and the difference but what does it do? does it hold the bearing in better?

i bought the halfrauds socket set for 99 quid. its a great set for a sunday mechanic like me :) Just removed my diff and prop with no problems. Ive also got a torque rench tho and a big bar for them big buggers:)

couple of pics of my work today. The old centre bearing doesnt look old at all and there is only the slightest bit of play in the bearing. but seen as the props out i may as well change it :)

oh look whos being nice all of a sudden haha. Its cool my friend is taking it to his garage 2mow to do it for me. Im fed up of buying new tools every time i work on something new. :headvswal

I wasnt trying to donut. anyone can do a donut I had just bought the car the day before and i was trying to get to grips with the back end drift not donuts.

Well i havent separated it yet as it has started raining, im gunna start fresh 2mow. But i might give the prop to a friend to replace the bearing as i dont have a press or any type of tool to get it off. hmmmm

Cheers big ears. :) ive ordered two of those 360 kits i also just need the uprated step gap piston. Whats the diference in having a 360 thrust then? Just reliability or more turbo rpm and spool up time?

everything is marked up. i got to have a rest now as im off to work soon. just need to get the subframe bushing sleave out now and replace the shaft bearing. Need to buy a hard chissle..... quick happy what ive done so far. Ive got new anti roll bar bushings to go in too and braided brake hoses.

im literally under the car, Im about to pull the prop shaft out. will oil come out of the gearbox when pull it out? do i need to drain it? and the centre section doesnt seem to wanna separate?????????

im sorry i got a bit excited then. I like to drive a car i know would perform well round a track and i just cant see an auto managing that. But on the other hand for a daily driver id love the effortless auto spec, it is so much easier especially in lots of traffic. i still wouldnt buy one tho.

Ive never heard of an autobox conversion hmmm i wonder why? manuals are worth more money See how far you get on a track day with an auto. try to drift with an auto. you cant heel and toe You cant practice launches unpredictable on the throttle Its boring and only good in traffic. i hate autos they make the car sound sluggish and gearchanges some boring. If you wanted an auto buy an old merc. sorry but ive just got a thing about autos gggrrrr

I was just looking at that kit on ebay it seems like a good deal. Any feedback on your turbo rebuild? Did the parts come ok and are they good quality? And how many of those uprated piston rings do i need for both turbos?
