  1. AAAAAHHH dont do french... been there done that. my parents quote: Yes has to be an auto no doubt about it. Safer coz she has two hands on the wheel and she is used to an auto... Im not gunna argue. i looked at a few yari's and they are out of the price range. But it would be perfect imo, cant go wrong with a jap car. hehe
  2. My parents are looking for a new car for my sisters bday. They need some advice on what to buy here. She has a 1 year daughter and ideally we are looking for a hatch: 4 doors automatic 1.0-1.6 cc price from 2000-2700 I was looking at a couple puntos, some vw&audi's. I cant really think of anything else. any ideas guys?
  3. Looks nice fella. But them probs are gunna cost. Calipers is an easy on. i just serviced mine yesterday and painted them woohooo. rear main seal is gearbox out. I had both them probs and many many more :) old car= problems specially one of this nature, so many things to go wrong. If you want a good one you have to make it good. or buy one for silly money thats already had everything replaced. And even you cant be sure :(
  4. haha whoops i meant give him a CALL. geeez wheres my head at.
  5. hmmmmmm think il go for a uk Bar, bigger should make it stiffer which is what im looking for too. Looks like i need to give andy a car 2mow at the breakers.
  6. i ordered sway bar bushings but the are too big, the space where the bar slips through is too big??? A little help would be great as ive been on the phone to z1 in america trying to solve this. Does anyone know the different sizes of rear sway bars? How many sizes are there? I need the actual measurement of the bar thickness. Thanks James
  7. how much you want for rid of them?
  8. bumber, right think il have to settle for the boog ones and just put cable ties around them, or maybe devise something else.
  9. so is it safe to fit without the locators? And the rear hoses seems to be a bit to long? they will fit but will have to be curled to take up the extra length:( not happy.
  10. The goodridge hoese i bought dont have the metal nuts on the hoses to clip onto the brackets on the car. The ends are fine and fit ok on the caliper and the other end, but if they dont have those nuts on the hose they will fray on the metal??? am i wrong? Otherwise il fit them and risk it. I just want to make sure im correct. Are UK and jap hoses different? has anyone had this problem? im quite annoyed as i waited a good 3 weeks for them to arrive :(
  11. That does sound like a bargain, so why havent you bothered with them mark? What injectors are you using now? what make are these ones your selling?
  12. Ive heard stories of ptu's failing when they get hot. Ive also heard that you should wipe it with a damp cloth to cool it down and if your symptoms go away then its 100% ptu. If it makes no difference id start checking others things.
  13. oil smoke has a blue colour to it and it has a strong sharp smell. water is always white, and if its a headgasket failure it would smoke white continuously.
  14. why dont you uprate the subframe bushings while its off?
  15. well i cant pm you. what make are they? are the repairable? and how much you looking for? oh and dont worry i know your not trying to con anyone :D
  16. you mean these ones? http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=99828
  17. oh yeah what make are they mate?
  18. The green fiat coupe in the last pic is identical to the one i had. Must have been fun in the rain with a RWD. Il be doing that soon i hope.
  19. I work in soho everynight.... what a dump. as soon as you walk out the door theres a sex shop like 8 feet in front of ya so be sure to visit all of them and its just on the red light district. Dont forget to chat to the local crack heads while your at it and dont mistake men for women coz its easily done...... if your not used to that kinda fing that is. For me its an everyday thing Loads of them walking about, it makes me shiver. :hurl:
  20. soeey the whisky is goning to my head i meant 13-14 psi safely, coz i know standard internals just cant hack it for long enough. So will my stock injectors be up for it properly?
  21. Well i want to be able to run at least 15-16 psi once the rebuild is done and im sure the tubs can handle that but the injectors cant :(
  22. i only bought uprated valve springs coz i was advised to. as old ones have prob had it. and uprated are not much more £ Im just struggling to find some good advice anywhere. This is what i have worked out so far. £900 on z1 internals £300 on a clutch. ive worked out that it will cost me £250 to rebuild my tubs with 360 bearing and step gap pistons. and ive been told to expect to pay around £1300-£1400 for labour. thats 2750 already over my budget of 2500 so now im really trying to budget myself.
  23. So wat should i be running with forged pistons t25 tubs (360 thrust/step gap pistons) Stock injectors and a couple other things uprated valve springs the usual full exhaust decat and induction? Whats would be an aggressive setup and what would be a reliable one? Honestly im lookng for a reliable setup. Not mad power
  24. Topless i just read an old post saying stock injectors are good on stock tubs upto 16-17psi is this correct?
