  1. Mate i havent a clue when it comes to wheels and sizes etc i dont even know what offset means or where it is?. the spacers were given to me when i bought them off james so i dont know the sized but they looked about 0.5mm
  2. i didnt look for where the refill nut is????? i undid the side one.
  3. yup i did indeedy. i also gave them a hug each for good luck especially the rears as they need it most.
  4. I opened the plug and very clean oil came out. so i quickly put it back in. does anyone know how much oil needs to go in there or should i just fill it till it oozes out?
  5. loving the wheels fella they are stunning. :hyper:
  6. Once i had fitted the front diff bushing which were a piece off piss, (see pic) i moved onto the rear press fitted bushings... Now these were a bugger. So heres how i replaced them with the subframe still attached. After a few wacks with a hammer a couple dry atempts to push them in it was obvious these were not going in without a fight. So i tried a number of things that were clearly not gunna work. But soon enough just like one of those old cartoons where a light bulb appears ontop of the characters head, an idea sprung to mind. first i greased the inside of the subframe where the bush sits once pressed in (this helps with the pressing) One thing i also did was fit the bush in the other way round with the smaller lip facing the rear, which IMO doesnt make a bit of difference except it comes very close to touching the HICAS rack. Then I opened the zeds boot pulled away the carpet and grabbed the aluminium car jack that comes with every zed as standard. I wedged the jack between the stuborn bush, a thick piece of solid metal and across to meet the middle of the subframe. Its good practice to place a bit of wood between the jack and the subframe but i did without and honestly it didnt leave a mark or bend the frame in anyway. See below I was careful and made sure the long thread on the jack did not come in contact with the body of the car, it was a close call (about .5mm). Sure enough i began to extend the jack and after a few turns it popped in. I then continued to extand the jack and squeeze the remainder of the bush until it sat in its place. vola I gave myself a pat on the back :) See you dont have to remove the subframe after all :D
  7. Result, i love freebies and my orange gloves too :) So anyone know if its common for a diff to have a bit of play in it?
  8. well why thank you very much indeed. Im guna make a new thread and show ya how i did them diff bushes with subframe in situ, its class and a really good way to do it with the standard car jack as a press.
  9. Managed to change the bushings on the diff and anti roll bar today.
  10. Just put my diff back in and there seems to be a little bit of play. I suppose thats where the funny knocking noise id coming from when ever on off throttle and changing gear... but is this normal? Has anyone else checked thiers recently? What can i do to fix it? I Believe that coz all my bushings are new and stiffer it amplifies the knock?? Heres the video: sorry for crap quality. Diffferential play
  11. hmmmmm the figures are looking rather close.
  12. To me det sounds like a crackling noise kinda like one of those electric stun guns. going by what youve writen above, doesnt sound like det to me. and if it was it would put you into safty boost. You could of just got some water on the maf sensor in the intake or maybe a dodgy water temp sensor so have at look at them.
  13. imagine the shock it gets when the engine is turned on and it gets an ass full of warm damp unburnt fuel haha.
  14. And dont forget it makes its much more well gooder too!
  15. awwwwww look at the little poody cat :)
  16. hay hay murty murt you got it wooohoooooo welcome to the gang :) Hope shes good ta ya.
  17. a bit of filler and a respray will turn that into a beauty NOT
  18. Yeah i just read the manual and i was right, if not using consult, you have to activate diagnostic mode turn wheel left to right and bleed left and right nipple till theres no air, bit of a long one really but it has to be done.... unless i get a hicas eliminator. I dont really like the hicas bolocks.
  19. hmmm it only directs me to the 300zx online manual im sure im correct anyways. thanks for searching for me anyway.
  20. Yeah but the only way to get the rear rack active is to put it in diagnostic mode then i can bleed it while its on the stands. ANYONE????
  21. damn it, ive taken the diff out and i had to take the pipes of to get to the rear bushings, now it needs bleeding. im almost 80% sure how to do, but i need to be 100% :)
  22. oi i want some help god damn it..........
  23. Do i have to put hicas in diagnotic mode and turn the steering to bleed the rear rack?
  24. OOOO i cant wait for the reply.........................
  25. Ok i understand the pistons but i dont see how 360 makes a diference?
