  1. Does anyone know if there is a thread port on the block that is 1/2npt?
  2. I think there is a threaded port near the oil filter so i could plum the accusump into this, seems easy enough and saves the bother of buying a check valve. Andy have you fitted yours now?
  3. If installing through the oil cooler would it have to be plumbed in before or after the check valve? anyone know is the z32 has a check valve near the oil cooler or even where it is?
  4. I just bought a 3 quart Accusump. Im thinking about installing it from the oil cooler, does anyone recommend a better place? Dont fancy the sandwich plate tbh.
  5. Welcome ENNIT :)
  6. Hicas/power steering ecu... i think, or maybe the autobox ecu, fook i duno now. does the autobox have an ecu?
  7. shes the light of my life little Lulu.
  8. Well i have a small battery so there is plenty space for it to sit beside it, you will soon see, il post up the thread once its done.
  9. This is the tank il be using its small but it will work. The pug said so. p.s those are my girlfriends bed covers..
  10. i have a few mods to do also, never ending it seems. So lets get stuck in before winter :)
  11. Lol king of the roads i like that haha
  12. first of all take off the A pillar plastic covers which is easy enough, you will see a pipe running from the top to the bottom, now you will have an idea of what your looking for, this pipe goes all the way down to the side of the footwell and attaches to the wing via a rubber bung, so you will have to get under there and take apart whatever is in the way, my passenger side popped off, i managed to get my hands on it and pop it back on the. Problem is the pipes shrink, over years and years they loose length and pop off i had to heat the top length of the pipe with a flame then stretch it to gain more length :) hope this helps.
  13. 02 sensors wont effect full throttle, only normal driving, could be fpr, check your fuel pressure maybe its too high. Is the engine a bit hesitant at all? Having a generic chip really isnt ideal it will never run well.. safe but not very well. every car is different. Since i had my engine mapped its run better than ever, its a nice 15afr on tickover so its completly hesitant free. I used to get a black sooty bumper after a few miles but now its far less and i only get a bit on the bumper just above the exhaust, however the engine does run rich after 70mph crusing which is not great for the fuel economy, i might see if john dixon can change some of the mappings during normal road use. eventually once i have completed a few future mods i will return to JD for another mapping session.
  14. The targa draining hoses have probably come off, they come down from the A pillor into the front wing, if it comes off, all the water drained from the roof drains into the footwell instead of going out the side of the wing and down out the seals.
  15. Cool :) i wont leave the restrictors in then. I was even thinking, you could prob get away with just adding extra length of hose pipe from the take offs and guiding it upwards then back down into the rocker for the same effect without the need for a catch tank, if your looking for a mild mod on your 300zx, anyone could do this it obviously wont have the same benifits as the tank venting to atmosphere but it will help with the oil slosh.
  16. Yeah i have seen that mod a few times. dont have the time to take the rockers off though :( Yeah i know this but it burns loads of oil on track as i can see in my rear view mirror, and im pretty sure this is dangerous in terms of detonation.(i also hate the gunk in the ic's) I have never had my boost turned up on the track before i only ran 12psi at caste combe, Anyway i have a plan :) Ok heres what im thinking. The tank i have bought has 2 take offs both 12mm 1/2 inch, i can T one side which isnt a problem. the outlet is also quite large fitted with a filter thing, ( can route this to the bottom of the car though). Ok so i block off all the pcv valves etc then If i plum a hose into the exhaust rocker cover in the stock location (as mentioned no time to remove rockers and change the take offs) but have the hose come out at a 90deg angle and guide it vertically upwards till its higher than the catch tank and even rockers then from there into the catch tank. woulndt this prevent the oil from sloshing out as the hose is higher than the rockers as we all know how gravity works, i may also retain some of the stock hose restrictors in the new hose i plum in. Then have the intake take offs Teed into the tank(these are pretty high on the intake rockers in stock location) i also want it venting to atmosphere dont like the idea of dirty gases in the intake so a sealed catch tank wont work and it will prob over pressurise the crank system anyway. i was thinking of having the vent guided to the bottom of the car to prevent the smell but thats just a luxury i can do without for now. so what are your comments? its not a perfect system but it will work surely?
  17. I had a word with Mark today and he did mention this. I will set mine up the same but i will make sure the hoses come out of the rockers higher than the catch tank. Im also thinking about keeping the stock pcv restrictors in place, might help.
  18. Yeah thats why im posting this up again lol Im hoping he didnt reduce pressure enough to cause starvation.....
  19. Hey mark, i have bought all the bits i need for this mod. I just want to clarify that this mod is ok? Have you had any problems since the bottom end failure with anything regarding this catch tank? Do i have the option of having it vent to atmosphere or just plugging it up instead? Is it safe and does it run ok vented? Cheers mark.
  20. Yeah i have seen those, £700 or so. Give them a call see what the say, they are obviously 200sx fitment, the r32 has the same setup as the 300 so if they fit an r32 they should fit the 300. from the website: Regarding fitment This product is a direct fit for Nissan 200sx/Silvia S14 and S15. It is possible to fit to an S13 with the information below.
  21. Im working on that now, heres my first step: I was going to buy those spl steering rods but they are taking to long. Im going to make my own with my old tension rods kinda like what unique zed has done, so the steering arms are at a less funky angle. What have you done Jaffa?
  22. cheers vijay i will buy one of these, im sure it will help in the future, im forever faffing about with nuts and bolts.
  23. Anyone happen to know the nut thread sizes for these nuts on the front top arm? I want to replace the nuts as the oem ones are a bit long and bind on the aftermarket arm due to the amount of lowering. these are the ones in question:
  24. rear wheels/tyres are waaaay too skinny lol looks silly.
  25. Hi unique zed, i have replyed to your thread on the aus forum, I have been reading alot bout your slot car and it has inspired me in many ways. :) japslapper i have all these DW arms, I have to tell you something bout this lower arm, where the ball joint meets the hub you have to retain the little cone from your old arms ball joint you can press it off or just hammer it off. You fit it back in the hub, the cone on the dw arm must be turned the other way round so the flat surface is flush with the hub now that it has the oem cone in it. This way its a secure fit. The same goes with the front arms whatever you do dont go driving it with it the wrong way round as the ball joint will not have enough room to swing and you will damage the arm or maybe crash. see pic below of front arm same applys with rear (couldtn find pic of rear): Anyway i cant believe i have not spotted this thread yet, very impressive and costly project here :) we should all meet on the track soon :) im looking to book another trackday at bedford autodrome soon if your interested let me know, same goes with you monster :) you can bring the skyline alone for testing.
