No not with the tranny................. correct me if im wrong but: I think the drilled ones disperse the unwanted gases when braking and the grooved ones skim a small layer of pad each time they come in contact so both have their advantages but i suppose they both weaken the disk and reduce pad wear as a disadvantage :D
