  1. Very often look at the site on my phone when the missus is watching the tv..
  2. Yeah snap mate! Had the 5th injector drive, big front mount intercooler, power boost valve, boost retard system and big Hybrid T3 Turbo!!! Also stripped the interior out and perspex the windows! Wash pushing 330ish in the end.. Not bad up from the standard 135BHP!! You really could tune the knackers out of these cars!! How silvia engineering made there name originally...
  3. Silvia was rear wheel drive!!! Miss my old Silvia S12, went like a *******!!
  4. Congratulations Gary! Best of luck with your new post!
  5. Thanks Dan! Yeah will check that tomorrow.. the dribbles to appeat to be comning from the passenger side.. just hope we can get to the hoses without plenum off!!
  6. Thank you Super Dan!! Had a quick look this morning before work but couldn't see a lot... Radiator was all but bone dry, only had a little water in it which would explain why my heaters we're cold.. Toped it up to the max with the engine off but noticed underneath the car towards the back passenger side of the engine it is dripping a little... Started the engine to let it take that amount of water and topped it up again... Drove to work and when i got there had a look under the engine with it still running and it was only dripping a little... Temperature back to normal now on the guage and heaters working... Topped it up again before driving home and it didn't need much water, only half a pint... So tomorrow on my day off gonna take off my undertray, get it on my mates ramps and have a look... Can't see anything looking down the back of the engine dripping and the heater pipe the goes through the firewall to the heater matrix looks ok and dry when i rub my fingures around it!!! Any suggestions to where it may be comming from would be usefull tho!!! Thank you kind people of the Zed community!!
  7. Thank you very much for the kind offer! Gonna have a quick look tomorrow if I can as the thing that concern's me most is why the engine seemed cold after that quick blast I had home, and also why the Temp gauge didn't even move from it's cold starting position and also when I put my hand on the Rad it only felt a little warm!!! If my thermostat had jammed mostly shut then can understand why the radiator could feel only slightly warm but also it doesn't explain why no heat is coming through the vents!! Surley the water that's in the engine would get hot very quickly as it only has a smaller amount to boil... Obviously the Temp senders are before the engine so if the Rad is staying cool then maybe that's why I'm getting a cold reading??? Hopefully my Conzult unit will turn up soon so I can see what's going on!! Thanks for the advise Jeff! Will check the water level tomorrow to see if it's topped up.. Only thing I did do last Friday was do a clutch vaccume assist tank booster removal.. The round thing under the wiper contol box. Removed associated piping to it and the big long pipe that comes out of it the goes around the back of the engine... Had to give that a good tug to get it out so just hope i've not disturbed the water pipes that go through the firewall to the heater matrix...
  8. Thanks Groover! Did check the temp spade and its clean as a pin... noticed on the way home last night it took longer than normal to warm up but it did in the end.. the temp guage tho instead of sitting half way up was only sat a quarter of the way up.. doing the same run home tonight it didnt move from the bottom of the guage. not even slightly and that was after a full boost run up the road!
  9. Weird problem on the way home from work tonight. I set the temp to 40 on the aircon pod and normally i would start to feel some heat after 5 mins of driving. It was only blowing c.old air. equally to that my internal temp guage was sat on the C and didnt even budge!! Gave the car a good rag and still nothing. when i got home i lifted the bonnet and felt the rad and it felt only luke warm... any ideas?? Thermostat possibly?? Car running fine apart from that!
  10. Group moddification on getting it back to the way it was without him looking??!!
  11. Such a shame as it was a lovely looking NA - Z up close as well... Each to there own tho and I guess some people like big grey stripes!!
  12. Don't think he's on here but saw that today too. Guy called Tony Scuito who's a chef at that pub. It used to be MikeyBigZed's 300 and previous to that his brother CornishWrecker had it... Got a silly Grey go faster stripe on it now!
  13. Could be the top intake hose clamp on the throttle body or the rubber / silicone slightly overlapping the nurling... Had this on mine when did a leak test.. Silicone joiner was just overlapping the nurling causing a slight leak!
  14. I'll tell you now it will pass with flying colours!! Cleanest Z around, you could eat your dinner off even the oily bits!
