  1. Love the GTR but the Z considering it's age actually looks more aerodynamic and has aged pretty well in design!
  2. This one doesn't look like it comes with the silicone couplings either.
  3. I've been running Baily twin piston DV's on my Z for over 10 Years now with no problems. Thing is Im not 12 anymore and wanna go back to some nice decent recircs!
  4. Hi, been having this fuel smell for a while but it seems to be getting stronger. Don't know if it's this hot weather or not. My Z is running fine at idle and full load but noticed even after it's been stationary for a while hot or cold engine there is a strong fuel smell coming from what seems like the passenger side rear wheel. Can't see anything dripping down after driving, or leaving it at idle but just a very strong smell. No wet on my garage floor in the morning it's all just very weird! If anyone has an idea what it could be please let me know as the smell is only coming from this area. The only other thing is when going to fill up with fuel and undoing the filler cap there is no woosh sound like there used to be. There has been no woosh sound for the past 3 years tho and this was after doing a carbon canister delete. The smell has only been about for the past month. Im guessing it could be the fuel filler neck joining onto the fuel tank leaking fumes! If anyone has had this problem before or knows of a cure, Any help would be appreciated
  5. Only just seen this myself... Wishing you and your family all the best for the future Jeff. Never met you in person but your more than helpful advise on here has helped me fix many a problem on my Z! I salute you sir! Thank you!
  6. OK well I've owned my UK Z for 13 years now and this first happened to me after about 3 years in. Resoldered all the joints on the back of the speedo and it fixed it! Well it lasted all this time until last month and the same symptoms again. Time to get out that soldering iron! Think it's caused by heat build up in the cabin over time which causes the solder to fail and crack. A good resolder of all the joints will sort you out!
  7. Yeah could well be, I disabled the clutch booster a few years ago as I'm running a paddle clutch which is already heavy. Made no difference with the booster disconnected. Have to check the hydraulic lines or seal as think its relayed to that. Last week when I was parked in traffic I saw a light puff of smoke that came from my drivers side bonnet vent. Guess a little clutch fluid was dripping on a hot turbo.

  9. This is good to know and the Nissan dealer isn't that far away! Thanks!
  10. This is good to know and the Nissan dealer isn't that far away! Thanks!
  11. Thanks mate that brilliant! Yeah will give Mike a call at MJP for the repair kit seeing as new clutch master cylinders are hard to find in the UK. Will have a check to see where it has been leaking from, think it can only be small whatever it is a since the last top up 2 years ago it's leakage has been gradual.
  12. Got a feeling my clutch Master Cylinder has broken. All fluid has drained away and clutch pedal has no pressure so very easy going to the floor! Even easier when engine running!! Done a bit of searching on the internet but can't seem to find one for my Twin Turbo anywhere... Can I use an NA one or are there any other Nissan's that use the same Clutch master cylinder?? Just to note I did away with the clutch booster years ago so always had a heavy clutch. Also is it easy to get hold of a repair kit for the clutch master cylinder? Any help on this would be much appreciated! Thanks!
  13. Saw you driving along Sandy Lane last week in Redruth Cornwall! I was in the Red Z, thanks for waving back anyway! Thought I knew who had most of the Zed's down here!
  14. Hi Dave! Been running 285's for years now! Just the drop that was causing the issue but fixed it now by dropping a profile size so now im 285/30/18 and running the KYB AGX on 4 at the back now so not too stiff and gives good damping for our Cornish roads!! Been over big bumps as well now and now rubbing, car also pulls a bit better cause with the lower profile it's geared it down a bit!
  15. Well I live in Cornwall and you can't beat Tregenna castle!! Been there many a time for friends weddings..
  16. I cut my own holes and created a fibre glass mould in the one I bought off ebay so now looks like this one! At least you can use the original Lights and not those bloody horrible supra stickons. http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=272&category_id=77&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7
  17. Mine was taking ages to load up emails last night!! I want hotmail back, it worked just fine and it was quick! Just because they wanted to force us all to the windows 8 look!!!
  18. No, it's not an option really! Buying new wheels is just way to expensive!! Would rather just stick the old springs back on if the coil spring lifter booster thing doen't help. It only grinds over the bigger bumps, smaller ones and dips in the road it won't grind. Only need another 15 20mm clearance and it'll be ok so not much of a raise.
  19. Thanks for you help on this dude, really appreciate it.. Thinking im gonna roll the arches and get some of these to go in between the coils either side.... http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?c=GRAYSPRNGB&s=category
  20. So can I adjust the offset with the standard upper arm's or do I need to get new ones??? Also would getting Coil spring spacers, boosters, lifters or what ever you call them help to raise the ride height a little? Thinking I don't need much of a raise as before the Ebach lower springs and KYB shocks we're fitted the clearance with these wheels and tyres was fine, even going over bumps!
  21. Wow, those pictures are scary... Gonna make it part of my weekly check now when I do tyre pressures...
  22. Ok if someone could advise me what tyre size would be best to do as a temporary solution till I can get my arche's rolled that would be much appreciated! Currently 285/35/18 so do I go: 285/30/18 so less height or 275/35/18 so 10mm less width Please help someone!!
  23. Yeah I knew that hence the reason for going smaller on the rolling radius! Going 285/30/18 is only 1mm difference from the standard 245/45/16 on the radius... Thanks anyway Terry!
  24. Yeah that's what im thinking of doing but also seeing as I need new rear tyres im gonna go down to a 30 profile rather the 35 they are on now... Might help a little bit hopefully!
