Cool well there is no need for me to worry if my speedo is reading higher it will mean i'll be doing under the speed limit and no speeding tickets yeay :dance:

It's a richmond gears, gear kit for the diff. So no it's not a N/A diff. I'm just worried if i changed both my diff and wheels it could put my speedo out so i end up getting a speeding ticket. That would just be great.

Does changing the diff size and wheels through the speedo out by much?? If so how do you get round this?

haha, not barrymore :D ok thanks, i had no idea what order they went in. not sure if it was wet or dry so this is what we did removed the coil backs and plugs then screwed in the magic measuring gadget then turned it over with accelerator flat to the floor. Well at least i've got peace of mind now.

I had my compression test today, the car is a tt and a 1990 so how did i do??? 1. 154 (bottom left) 2. 149 (middle left) 3. 142 (top left) 4. 142 (bottom right) 5. 134 (middle right) 6. 146 (top right) there is 20psi difference between the highest and lowest figure, the speedo reads 63000 miles. so what do you think?

Ok i'm pretty sure that it's my Alternator that's poo not my battery. the car is a 1990 and a tt so where can i get one from? how much? and how easy are they to fit?

Is this worth doing? I've had the one done on my radiator and being advised to do one where my spark plugs go to check engine compression. They want to do this before i get the turbos replaced to make sure the smoke isn't engine problems. Is this correct??? i have no idea what it all means and if it is a good idea how much should i pay? and what compression should our cars be running? Also what does this test actually test?

How do you tell if it's your battery or alternater that is faulty? Not sure if this is important but the car had been sitting for a while and got a slight leak so very damp inside (think leak fixed now) Anyway what happened was drove it after it sitting for a long time and the temp gauge wasn't working and the lights were very dull, got about 15 mile and put my foot down the car completely held back windows moving up n down very slowly so when i got it home took the battery out put in on charge don't think it was a full charge. Gave it another go drove much better all lights were working as bright as usual playing up slightly but assumed it was down to resetting the ecu after diconecting the battery. Anyway got up the city and it slowly started playing up again really badly holding back put your foot down and feels like it's going to cut out, lights really dull, windows really slowly, no powered steering and a christmas tree hicas light. Once i got home lights were on revs droping very low reved the car, it held back, turn all the electrics off reved the car and appeared to be fine. Any ideas if this is my batt or alternater? and how i could do a test to check?

One guy is currently sorting my exhaust and the other works for Mitsubishi and does all my work for cash in hand on the side very cheap.

Buy a vented grill which goes between the the headlights that what i done for mine. also looks great. loads of styles to choose from aswell.

We can head down to Germany before or after for the numberg ring and auto bahns. :hyper:
