Fibre Glass doors
I know Escort racing make some but does anyone have them? or know how much they are and where to buy them? Am i correct in thinking Zed doors are really heavy and these would be a great weight saver? Is there anyone else out there who also makes them?

Car Audio, i'm a lil out of touch.
I mainly listen to hiphop/rap mainly so would be nice to have allot of bass. Although i could try speakers and get a sub at a later date. What do you suggest speaker wise?

Ultima Gtr
Wow that is pimping. What was it based on? and the specs? I've always fancied something mad like this or a Ultima or Noble. Could of had one for how much i've spent on the Zed but there again i done that over a period rather than fronting it all at once.

Car Audio, i'm a lil out of touch.
Since moving away from my boy racer ness of my previous motor i've built the 300 for power but.... It does really need some tunes so, this is what i'm thinking. Alpine head unit up front. 6.5" components up front (stock fit) 8" mids in the black vinyl area next to the rear seats. Bass tube in the boot. I know the bass tubes are not as good as a sub and amp but i want something light, very light and not all the wires. What are the best parts/brands to buy? and what i've come up with do you think that is a good all round setup? preferably no additional amps.

Different Brake Master Cylinder from 2000spec model
i don't think that is a new cylinder but a bracket to stop it from moving which will apparently improve braking, they are very cheap to buy.

be honest ! 300zx owners !
i havn't had much luck with mine as the engine and turbos gave in the go. I took it to what i thought to be good garages but turned out to be bad. It's finally being sorted by the right guys who are cracking on with it and it should all be over very soon. I think in General if you get a good one they are reliable. But if they go wrong they can be very pricey to put right in compairison to other cars. In my opinion though nothing looks like the Zed, it looks agressive and is pretty fast standared. other jap cars don't have the looks of the Zed. e.g. the Evo, don't get me wrong they are nice looking but they look like a boy racer family car.

whats the biggest fan?
I do buddy but i have not ran the car since that has been fitted, perhaps a vented nose panel and some slam panels may help with a lil more air flow

diffs and diff gears.
I'm glad you said that. I've got in contact with them. I'm going to speak to my Mechanic tomorrow and get the all clear to order it. Does the leader gear cog fit well with that diff? They sound a great combination by what i have heard about them both. Thanks.
-
whats the biggest fan?
I think Danny at Dta can supply these, i got mine from Smithy but you will need to order through Danny.
-
whats the biggest fan?
I've got a Ash Performance Fan + Shroud and it fits my Koyo really well. there are big cooling advantages having fan + shroud instead of just a fan. The kit does not come with temp sensor or relays purely is a electric fan and a shroud.

diffs and diff gears.
Sorry to hear that. So the Quaife Diff will work with leader gears, that's good. Where did you buy your diff from?

Dump valves, omg i'm so confused.
haha that sounds much better than what i thought. i feel dooopid now.

Dump valves, omg i'm so confused.
omg really?? i am stupid, i always thought it went from the air filter into the throttle bodies wizzed around the engine and out into the turbos then the exhaust. not sure where in line the intercoolers sat. haha i have really learnt something valuable today. what a dim bum

diffs and diff gears.
John i've sent the company a email. here is the 300zx specific info: "We are proud to offer the exclusive HorsepowerFreaks Quaife Differential Kit for the 300zx Twin Turbo. Quaife differentials deliver unparalleled performance and reliability. Supplying power to the wheel with the most grip, these helical gear differentials provide maximum traction under all conditions. Whether you are drag racing, road racing, drifting or even daily driving your car, offered with a lifetime warranty, this is the last differential you will ever need to buy. To provide a complete bolt up solution for the 300zx we include the passenger side output flange that eliminates the need for any machine work." And here is the Qauife generic info: "The Quaife Differential powers both drive wheels under nearly all conditions, instead of just one. With an ordinary open differential, standard on most cars, a lot of precious power is wasted during wheelspin under acceleration. This happens because the open differential shifts power to the wheel with less grip (along the path of least resistance). The Quaife, however, does just the opposite. It senses which wheel has the better grip, and biases the power to that wheel. It does this smoothly and constantly, and without ever completely removing power from the other wheel. In drag-race style, straight-line acceleration runs, this results in a close to ideal 50/50 power split to both drive wheels, resulting in essentially twice the grip of an ordinary differential (they don't call open diffs "peglegs" for nothing). In cornering, while accelerating out of a turn, the Quaife biases power to the outside wheel, reducing inside-wheel spin. This allows the driver to begin accelerating earlier, exiting the corner at a higher speed. The Quaife also controls loss of traction when the front wheels are on slippery surfaces such as ice and snow or mud, providing the appropriate biased traction needed to overcome these adverse conditions. The Quaife Differential provides constant and infinitely variable drive. Power is transferred automatically without the use of normal friction pads or plates seen in other limited-slip designs. The Quaife's unique design offers maximum traction, improves handling and steering, and puts the power where it is needed most. A definite advantage whether on the track or on the street. The Quaife is extremely strong and durable and since the Quaife is gear operated, it has no plates or clutches that can wear out and need costly replacement. The Quaife is great for street driving or racing. Racers don't have to put up with locking mechanisms or spools that tear the steering wheel out of their hands when cornering. Because it behaves like an open differential during ordinary driving, street drivers will have trouble telling it's there until pushing the car's limits. We are proud to offer the exclusive HorsepowerFreaks Quaife Differential Kit for the 300zx Twin Turbo." This does sound the better Diff than the ones i was previously looking at. I'm up for ordering one of these according the price is right. Also could i alter the ratio to the same as a leader gear ratio with the kits i posted up?

diffs and diff gears.
Found it. This is Quaife USA and they do make a doff for the R230V but by the sounds of it only sell it via one seller. Horsepowerfreaks Quaife usa horsepowerfreaks

I will do if i hear anything but by what Legarth just said i doubt i will, shame as i really want one of those and don't fancy paying £231 from Japan as it's lil too risky.

Dump valves, omg i'm so confused.
That totally blows away my understanding on how dump valves work. I thought they had to go after the turbo to relieve the pressure from the turbo, so how do they work before the throttle bodies? i really don't understand how that would work as surely you want as much air to get to the throttle bodies as possible and for it not to release any?? I think my understanding on what dump valves do and how they actually work is completely wrong. i'm a doofus. nope a very cunfused doofus.
