  1. Phill82 ;) Thanks, will look forward to it :)
  2. anyone know who currently has the highest post per day figure?
  3. any idea when the next batch of packs will be sent out (hopefully including mine:D)?
  4. interesting, I can't fault my series 1, think it's great!
  5. I can't see the advantage of the series 2 over series 1. The series 1 setup automatically blows the air where it's best to set the overall temp of the car i.e. down low when it's trying to heat the car and up high (out of the normal vents) when it's cooling, as hot air rises etc. Why would you want to do that manually? If the series 2 allowed you to differentiate between driver and passenger I could see that as an advantage, but from that picture it doesn't look like it does.
  6. wouldn't have thought a Zed would handle too good with a car attached to it, wet or dry! (sorry, very silly of me)
  7. It's well annoying coming across these posts, I'm always left wondering what I've missed! (even if it was a load of rubbish)
  8. funny, it just looks better in that picture than others I've seen, must just be the angle
  9. I think this one takes some beating. Does anyone know what bumber extension that is on it? I'm not sure if it's just the angle, but to me it looks very similar to the Stillen GT-Z, yet doesn't seem quite right, in the way it bows down in the middle.
  10. Just been looking through another picture thread and found this one, if it's any use: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=978005&postcount=36
  11. Thanks. Yeah definitely genuine ones, I think they're worth saving up for the extra money.
  12. You'd be very welcome to it if you wanted it, but being realistic it's probably going to be a little while before I can afford to get a 99 one fitted (there's a fair bit of general maintenance work that need to be done first). I can let you know though when the time comes in case you're still interested.
  13. It's quite a bad example mine I'm afraid. It's a fibreglass replacement one (done by previous owner) but it's been put on and painted terribly, doesn't look like it was flattened down at all.
  14. Thanks for all the comments guys. I was waiting for that one! Yeah, I'd like to get some, although I probably don't consider them quiet as vital as yourself! Where's the best place to get them from? I'm afraid I'm not a fan of the standard spoiler, I think it's the one thing that really dates the car, but I guess each to there own! I'd definitely like to give it a subtle drop, but I think that'll be a bit down the line as I think it's quite an expensive job? I took it to Zed world about a month ago for one of their free assessment things, and whilst there is a bit of rust, Jeff said it was one of the best condition UK cars he'd seen for a while. It's booked in to get the bit of rust sorted in a couple of weeks so hopefully it'll be OK, but thanks anyway.
  15. This is my first Zed. I've had it a couple of months now, but only just got it insured properly. I've not done anything to it yet, so (as you'll see) it's not perfect, but still looks pretty nice to me. I'm a big fan of the stock look (including the wheels, which I think makes me a bit unusual!) so it'll be staying pretty much as is. The only things will be a 99 spec spoiler and rear lights, and hopefully polished wheels (I count them all as stock).
  16. ah ha, I think it makes quite a big difference, I rather like it.
  17. Si, what's the lip on the front of the first car you posted? Is it stuck onto the bottom of the stock bumper/spoiler?
  18. That Alpine amp you were looking at has a crossover (High pass filter) built in. If I were you I'd forget the rear speakers (run them from the head unit), and just buy a better (with the money you save) 2 channel amp for the fronts as they're the most important ones
  19. I'm sorry but I disagree with this. A sensible separate amp should always sound better than running straight from the head unit. The amp modules inside headunits are very small and must be fairly cheap when you consider everything else your getting in the same box for your money. I'm not saying a separate amp will definitely sort all of Si's gripes, but it would definitely make it sound 'better'. Having said all that, I agree with Legrath that you can't judge the sound untill the sub is installed, as you're only listening to half the system.
  20. my UK (93) has neither seat electric. How easy is it to retro fit them? And how easy is it to get hold of them?
  21. Definitely use a separate amp (not the head unit) for the front components, makes a big difference. Dispite what they might boast, if you read the small print the real world RMS power output of most headunits is around 10 - 15w!
  22. a few years ago I was with a friend in his car on a motorway somewhere near Norwich. We were doing about 100mph (he was driving, I take no responsibility) when this Ford Anglia overtook us (slowly). I noticed a cosworth sticker on the back of it just before he put his foot down and it just disappeared in a cloud of blue smoke (and that was from 100mph)! You don't think that could have been you, do you blgdave?
  23. I'm seriously toying with the idea of getting one of those KIT light strips... just for a laugh.
  24. Right, now I feel really stupid! Yes the button is there, and yes that was the problem! Although I'd rather feel stupid than my window be broken. Thanks guys.
