  3. Thanks a lot for your advice, sounds like it could be a goer for me. If any of you are at the Reading meet my car is now fixed so I should be there.
  4. What's the general concensus on these, are they good, bad or ugly?? And what do they cost.

I should have my car back, finally. Only £1,800 later for a gearbox rebuild and new performance clutch!!!! I might need a hand in pushing it there though as I now have no money for petrol, no money for food, er... no money.
  7. Im having mine done at the moment by a place called 3D transmissions. Just under £1,300 for all labour and parts, it needed a lot!!! Comes with a years warranty or 12,000 miles. Should be getting it back next week,
  8. Sharon stone, but im a bloke!!!!!
  9. trying to fit a very thick power wire from the engine bay into the cabin to run an amp. Had to take the battery out and drill through the bulkhead, very tight to get my large drill in, five drill bits later, a scratch on my wing (bas%*rd) and a lot of swearing the job was done. also just trying to get the damn thing to run properly, still isnt!!!!
  10. You put your car through a car wash!!! You need to bond with your car by carressing its metal and wash it yourself, you also get a better job this way. Who on here would use a car wash??
  11. Steering could be the lower steering UJ. Mine had a bit of play, had that don and now its lovely and tight. Not sure about the rest though.
  12. My mate that's stupidly brought a tt Supra will be coming along as well. My car definately won't be fixed as t's going for s recon gear box this Friday. But I shall be there one way or another. Lets hope it's sunny so we can get some tops off!!!!
  13. I just took mine off. If you drive really really fast then the wind keeps the rain off!!!!!!
  14. That van is wicked, I want one!!!!
  15. It's the car from the Gillette Advert, if you buy one apperently you have to stroke your chin whenever you get in or out of it!!!!
  16. With boost jets, do you need to do any other setting up on the car, other than a chip? Just making sure that it is around 14psi???
  17. Looks nice, but with all the cars for sale on this forum knowing what I know now i would have brought one of theirs. Wish I had!!!!!
  18. Thanks for the offer. I shall let you know. Either way I should be there :duffer:
  19. im lucky cos I brought a second car, kind of had to, so it's no problem not having the Zed, it's just the frustration with the money. For what I've spent I would have a very nice deposit on a 350Z. Oh well. Can't take it with you when you die. Its bookd in to 3D next Friday and they'll need it for about a week. I might still go to the Oxford met in my other car, I'ts Italian but can hold it's own.
  20. Just got my car back. Was told that all the gears were working fine except second, synchro gone. They lied, it's like moving a big stick in hard mud changing gear. Also buggered up boosting the car to 1bar, it's now at .5bar!!!!! Anyone got a match??
  21. Hmm, cheers for the info. 3D transmissions are quoting just under £600 in labour but should be able to do the job reasonably quickly. You pays yer money and yer takes yer chance!!!!
  22. I believe you had your gearbox rebuilt. Any chance you can tell me who buy and what the cost was please. Looks like I need mine doing
  23. Cheers for the advice, I shall get on the phone tomorrow. It always seems that my car decides to bugger up just before a meet. Obviously doesn't like crowds!!!
  24. This Zed ownership thing is becomming a bit of a bu66er. Now, after spending thousands, I need a gearbox rebuild as my second synchro is apparently bu66ered. Does anyone know of a good place to take it to have the job done. I live in Reading, (I know, but someone has to!!) so the clsoer the better. Definately losing heart in it now but it's gotta be fixed. Any ideas would be great. Cheers.
  25. I'd love to but im in Madrid next weekend on a stag do. Plus my clutch is playing me up, keeps grinding. It's being looked at at the end of the month though. If Reading meet is on ill drive my other car down there and say hi. Cheers.
