Hi, The previous owner of my NA replaced the stock air filters with 2 cones. However, these are falling apart and rusty and basically need replacing. Is it worth putting the stock ones back on or do you recommend sticking with aftermarket cones? Cheers, Dom

Hi, Is there anyone from around the Cardiff area that wouldn't mind meeting up over the weekend and run a ConZult on my zed. I would like to give it a health check and figure out why the idle is lumpy and why it seems to be running a bit rough in general. (Probably could do with a service). Just to make sure there are no surprises before I book it into the garage. Any help would be very much appreciated. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers Dom

Guys, My new NA idles at around 600-700rpm but does hunt a little. Does not stall mind but I sometimes feel like it's holding back a bit when I boot it. I also get a strong smell of petrol from the exhaust, not in car or under bonnet. I've yet to have a service mind so I'm assuming it might just be plugs etc...is there anything else I should look out for? There are no visible leaks either but how do I test for vaccum leaks? I'm no mechanic but am happy to do basic stuff. I managed to change my heater matrix on my old TT so I feel I know the cars a bit. Any advise would be great. Thanks Dom

Picked up a new 1993 'K' NA manual in Blue last Thursday. Saw it on a forecourt in Swansea where my mate picked up his Audi from so decided to buy it! I decided to try an NA after my 1989 TT kept breaking on me so I was Zed'less for a few years. I must say, I really like the NA. It's put just as much of a smile on my face as my TT and it drives loverly! I also think the midnight blue colour is awesome so I'm very happy. However, it's in the garage already as the radiator connection broke driving it back from the garage on thurs so I've only driven it for an hour max. I also appear to have a fuel leak as I can smell petrol but hopefully it should all get sorted this afternoon. Anyway, I'm so pleased to be back zedding and hope to meet up with some of you guys soon. Dom

Same thing happened to me on Thursday. I'd only just picked up my new NA from the Garage and was driving home when it happened. Luckily I have 12months warranty and the garage got me a replacement radiator the next day. One thing I'm worried about is it is not a direct OEM replacement but one made by AVA the p/n - DN2027 300zx-Maxima '88 onwards. Does anyone know if this is for correct or for a Z31 instead??? It looks the same size but does not have the pressure screw next to the hose on the left? Does anyone know if this is a direct replacement? Any advise would be appreciated. It's going into the garage to be done this Wednesday. Cheers, Dom

I currently have a 1994 Toyota Estima Lucida (Wife's) and just got myself a '91 Mitsubishi GTO NA until I can find another 'decent' Zed. I must say, I'm really happy with the GTO. Never really looked at them before but this was an impulse buy at only £3K. Cheers Dom

I did produce one using os-commerce (free to download) but had no time to finish it off. However, I do think someone has already beaten us to it (also using oscommerce) as I did come across it on here. (Can't remember the URL, sorry). You could also look at zencart. Both are open source so easy to manipulate or get help from Forums. I currently run a classifieds website (http://www.bridgend-classifieds.co.uk) and would be happy to include a section for buying and selling Zed parts. Let me know what you think?
