  6. Lower picture shows the fuel pump ecu and as said the relay for the interior light, oh and Hollings no need looking I can tell you your zed as all in UK zeds does have electrically operated rear shocks that are activated by lifting the handbrake lever one click to firm up the rebound. Jeff TT
  7. Top dollar!! happy to be of service. Jeff
  8. Stop!!! you guys sometimes Sunday is for resting having fun and giving good advice and help you do-nuts not wrong advice!! First of all do not apply heat to the crank shaft bolt (not nut) the crank pully has a rubber vibration damper in its construction and too much appled heat will wreck this, and never ever use a torque wrench for undoing bolts of this kind, a torque wrench is a precision tool designed to give acurate bolt tightening values not for over powering it with a bully bar on it....madmax :nono:will tell Jimmer to wag a finger at you! sure you did not mean a "torque" wrench though. Ok the bolt is tight, its meant to be and may even have some thread lock on it, so first off get a good strong 27mm socket and a strong normal wrachet along with a rubber hammer. In most cases a succession of swings will render the bolt loose, it may take a few good clouts so dont get shy. However if this does fail there is the tried and tested starter method of jamming the socket and wrench against the chassis leg or floor and flicking the starter (with cas unit unplugged assumingly). Both of these assume the engine is in the car if not then you need to lock the flywheel and use a big bar end of. Good luck Jeff TT Just to be clear all comments are completely humerous and non offending, seems as most of you are bigger than me that is!!!
  9. Oh right ok Aaron, yes never got finished till late evening yesterday, no problem can speak in the morning / or arrange drop off or whatever. Cheers Jeff
  10. Was the thermostat a genuine Nissan one? check out the link below may be worth consider changing it again just in case. Jeff TT http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=133014&highlight=thermostats
  11. Dot 4 is absolutely fine for road cars and provides the best value for money concidering dot5.1 does not readily mix with other fluids and hence you need to clean the entire braking syustem out, which I would guess yiu would not be able to 100% do that without removing all of the calipers, abs unit and master cylinder. Not have any dealing with super dot 4 so cannot comment on that. Dot 4 will be just fine. Jeff TT
  12. Only way we can do Friday is first thing in the morning 8.30am, I have an hour at max though, but ConZult check and set up should be covered in that time. Assuming thats ok I have penciled it in the diary let me know if any different, and as far as driving to Birmingham you better stop before you do because we are in Coleshill not Birmingham much closer to you in Coventry so you should be fine. Jeff
  13. Hiya just a quick reply as in the middle of a cambelt change and having 5 mins, when I get home later I will reply in full. Cheers Jeff
  14. Here we go as per usual the scam e-mail for Inland revenue to coincide with the end of the month last few days to submit tax returns. As a company with advertised email address we expect these kind of things and the one`s that do get through our junk filter do make you smile sometimes from just the pure cheek of these people. Just received the one below and did an e-mail header search to find that rather than come from the UK Inland revenue it originated in Buenos Aires what a surprise eh !!!! Be so cool to have the knowledge to send them a virus or a blast their server! Jeff TT Dear Applicant: Following an upgrade of our computer systems and review of our records we have investigated your payments and latest tax returns over the last seven years our calculations show that you have made over payments of GBP 178.25 Due to the high volume of refunds due you must complete the online application, the telephone help line is unable to assist with this application. In oder to process your refund you will need to complete the application form attached to this email.Your refund may take up to 6 weeks to process please make sure you complete the form correctly. NOTE: If you've received an Income Tax ‘repayment’ it will either be following a claim you've made or because HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has received new information about your taxable income or entitlement to allowances. The refund may come through your tax code or as a payment and could relate to the current tax year or earlier years. An Income Tax repayment is a refund of tax that you've overpaid. So, if you've paid too much tax for example through your job or pension this year or in previous years HMRC will send you a repayment. You'll get the repayment by bank transfer directly to your credit or debit card. -------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright 2011, HM Revenue Customs UK All rights reserved. 15. A little oil leak that can suddenly become a gusher is no joke not least for your driveway but potentially dangerous for your engine, cam end seals are parts of the scheduled cambelt service but the impending oil gusher prompted the strip down in the pics below, noticed on a routine standard assessment the alternator and underside was awash with engine oil, stripping down to cam end seal point requires a fair bit of front engine strip down but it was clear where the oil was coming from. The outer left hand exhaust cam seal was trickling from the lower part, it did not look a lot but had made a right mess. Its not the first time to see cam end seals leaking but this one was very unusual, the final picture shows the seal itself, it not the normal wear and tear but an odd displacement of the the spring lip retainer and the adjacent rubber looked almost melted, maybe badly installed previously....who knows? so after a clean up and new seals fitted it only left the corroded inlet hoses to be replaced! so if you have an oily alternator you know where to look.

  17. Hopefully the VAT number is at the bottom of the page out of shot because if it is not they have committed a serious offence by charging Vat without showing their Vat number. Jeff TT
  18. Well I suppose anything is possible as far as which box you actually got, as far as having two boxes with the same fault that is very possible as the faults you are having are among the most common. Jeff tt
  19. How? the loom is wired direct into the box, either he cut and joined cables or took the box apart which I doubt, if the loom was cut and reconnected this will need looking at. Sure reverse is selected manually which means that ecu issue is ulikely. Flushing the cooler pipes out is too late now, any contamination (if any) will be completely through the replacent box, agrree with yourself and doubt blockage is an issue. How far was the donor zed driven to prove the box as youi mentioned it had seized brakes? Jeff Note: The cooler if original is in the radiator side header/s Check the fuses for the auto trans, if is this fuse is gone the box will try to pull away in 3rd (get you home)
  20. Just done this exact mod, you will need a hybrid propshaft as the diff connection is 4 bolt on the n/a diff rather than 6 bolts on the TT, we usually make up one piece ones and seam weld the flanges and rebalance Jeff
  21. Busy Saturday, was good to see some zeds outside for a change, lets hope the weather gets better and better as Summer time rolls in. Jeff TT Now this is the way to transport your zed, tilt bed and fully covered, looks tight but with the side openings up it was easy to drive up and in and get out just fine.
  22. From experience I would say you have a problem with the box you are not going to easily rectify, most likely without changing it...what warranty did you get? Jeff
  23. What language is that? Jeff TT
  24. Top man, thanks will ship them tomorrow. Jeff
