Skint in s****horpe last night channel four
Anyone else watch the programme Skint on channel four last night????? omg! I could not believe what I was watching, quite how these lazy arse benefit swindling shop lifters and drug takers think is beyond me. I understand there are genuine cases where families are struggling and maybe on benefit but these bunch of wasters need dealing with, the abuse the one 15 year old gave his mum was disgusting, telling here to F... off and throwing a glass at her because she was just trying to get him up for school!! The main charactor had 6 kids with another on the way and the house and garden was a pig sty, the fridge however was full of stolen food including meats which he proudly showed off, the beer shelf was also similarly full, most likely from the same source! wide screen tv, sky, ps3 bikes, huge trampoline in the garden......... skint my arse! He openly whilst laughing suggested that buying stolen shop lifted food, drink and other stuff was ok and it was the shops fault for been too expensive. ( WHAT!!) Their own young daughter is shown getting caught shop lifting for the first time and they punish her by grounding her, when explaining to the camera why she is grounded both the parents were laughing how can she know what is right and wrong when you have morons for parents giving off conflicting advise and living morals..........? It is in three parts and as much as I was screaming at the TV it does makes for fascinating watching and a look at a world I am lucky to not be a part of, but one that these characters love to live in despite their ranting about been skint................ I despair ! Channel 4 Skint 9.00pm Monday nights worth checking out the repeat tonight if you misses it Jeff TT

rpm sensor
Aha! Agree the conversion must not the same as standard wiring / interconnections, not knowing about the conversion to digital clocks was a bit of a thrower! Jeff TT

rpm sensor
Are you talking about the revolution sensor circled in red below? If you are that is the internal gear-set speed sensor not engine rev sensor. Jeff TT

rpm sensor
Unplugging the ecu for the auto box should not stop the rev counter working? have removed many of them after doing a manual conversion without any rev counter issue very strange if you are getting that problem. Jeff TT

Oil leak from driver side turbo???
No washers on the turbo feed into the turbo,& similar set up to brake pipes, maybe if you get an extra nip on the fitting. Lots of times any oil dripping off the turbo has dripped from the rocker covers above. Jeff TT

The cost is certainly not been a factor in to repair or not to, or the it would firmly be a NO! So the repair parts list is huge however with a donor zed at hand we have started the process..... so a little taster until I can upload some more later. So the donor zed. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Just like magic!!!!!!!!!! certainly not, took a full day to unpick and comletely remove in one peice. Remember this post a few weeks ago??? Got a mid morning call from my best mate, he had a moment on the M40 this morning going to work and despite been an ace driver could not stop the 180 spin into the barrier!!!!!!!!!!!! Good news he walked away unhurt, which is the most important, but his zed of 14 years ownership is looking less well, thank goodness for the barrier which stopped this been a very different outcome. Jeff TT So after much deliberation should it be repaired or should it not be repaired with 14 years of ownership the decision was made and work has begun, though it might be interesting to share the progress. That is a whole lot of unpicking welds and cutting, the main fram is good but the front corner is a mess, have some more pics to upload later, ENJOY Jeff TT- NA manual box same as TT?
Flippinh eck Steve does it never stop eh? yes from memory there was 2 boxes that came back from duffs but one had the front input shaft nose section smashed/ broken, and of course steveMochans engine was no where to be found, well till later till the later in a field!! Na gearbox can be used in a TT with a few mods. Jeff TT- Cambelt autotensioner gap?
Yes thats ok. Jeff- help me out here
Yes......................by about £150. sorry to disappoint, loved your original thread though "A Book" classic matey. Jeff TT- Cambelt autotensioner gap?
That gap is just correct for a new static belt, the belt will give a little when first started, the manufacture allows for this, it a sort of once only run in stretch, the adjuster position will change slightly but then will be in the perfect position, this is one of the reasons using an old ( pre streched belt) is not advisable. "Notice anything?" Think the ptu has gone. Jeff TT- manual conversion
Yes have tried this in now dim and very distant past and was lucky most times, having said that it was no luck but most likely as the donor parts were 10 years younger then, we always fit the one piece as part of a conversion cost now, guaranteed no vibration. Jeff TT- manual conversion
Did you use the full manual prop or half and half, if the later good chance you will need to get it balanced, given the troubles you have reported, some of which sound already evident before the conversion ( stalling) with no disrespect to all involved but DIY / mates installation / work has its risks, if you had the work done at a garage you would have warranty, of course the trade off either way is usually cost, just an observation no recrimination suggested. Jeff TT- Alloy rads fail too!
Very good point, not a drop of antifreeze and the sludge was like quick sand! Jeff- Alloy rads fail too!
A couple of zeds booked in for replacement radiators today, nothing new there however one of them had a larger alloy rad. It was one of the ones that are very popular having been available at good price for a few years now, this was a surprise to see how bad it had failed, not only was it leaking from a crack in the header but the lower part of the matrix had blown out and down, just like a 20 year old Nissan unit, a bit disappointing? on a 3 year old unit? Note: lack of antifreeze/ coolant additive Jeff TT [ATTACH=CONFIG]70050[/ATTAC- Engine centre cover sticker badge '3000 V6'
Mmm.... must be annoying that, you did the ground work got them produced and now they cash in! Jeff- Some advice please
We do not have any non turbo radiators in stock at the moment either, however the non turbo auto radiator is possibly same as the 1989 - 1994 Nissan Maxima J30 check out the spec on the following ebay listing, the dimensions are all there, it certainly looks the same. Item number:310439317640 Jeff TT RADIATOR - NISSAN MAXIMA 1989-1994 62980 TECHNICAL INFO : RADIATOR : - NISSENS 62980 CORE DIMENSIONS 402 X 717 X 25 MM NISSAN 2146085E00 MATERIAL COPPER VALEO 731134 MATERIAL PLASTIC TRANSMISSION TYPE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION VEHICLE EQUIPMENT FOR VEHICLES WITH OR WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING- speed limiter?
With the UK Speedo and different chip that has a 300 + mph speed limit you should not have any speed limit, is the cut a hard one ? as the normal speed limit is a real soft effect that makes it seem more like the engine at max rather than a cut. It is possible the afm or the cas unit has an issue, either of these can cause a similar result, worth a drive with a ConZult connected to see what is happening with the timing and air flow when the cut occurs. Jeff TT- Front indicators not working
Is it just the front indicators not working are are the rears not working as well? if it all of them failed it maybe just a coincidence they are not working try wiggling the hazard switch this can sometimes be the cause all of the indicators not working as the switch has not returned to the off position. Jeff TT- Boost Issue
Are the boost solenoids still connected ? Jeff TT- Boost Issue
Strange one as the boost controller should take in to account for any leak as it monitors requested boost against achieved boost and will cycle the boost valve accordingly to give you the boost its set to however turbo lag will increase. Jeff T - The phoenix will rise from the ashes
