  1. Sooo tricky. I was torn between Bigman, Yassa and JoleyP..... ......but in the end I could only vote for one so I flipped a coin a couple of times and chose Bigman. Good luck to everyone:dance: Richard:)
  2. Wow - a Porsche Panamera...........:p Richard;)
  3. Flippin 'eck....:D ....your insurance company must have paid up quickly. Who are you with - you have to recommend them mate!! That's going to hurt your premium next year at your age, buddy.........;) Richard
  4. Me too...... The League of Gentlemen has nothing on that..... .......if it had have been made in the Deep South of the USA, it would have been a documentary instead of a comedy!!! Richard;)
  5. Belated salutations mate..... .....hope you had a good day:hyper: Richard:cool:
  6. Picture of the odometer says 60325....... .......I'm not convinced:rofl: Plus it's almost £4.5k and in an otherwise sorry state - there are much much nicer examples for sale at less than that ATM.......:mac1: Richard:tongue:
  7. USA spec corners will have the sidelight fitting built in mate. I bought a set of "clear" corners a few years ago from this guy - e-mail him; his name is Claude. he was recommended to me by SMW1.... oppamanz@sympatico.ca Richard;)
  8. WAIT..... .....if you have a UK spec car then you MUST get bulbs with opposite pins - ie 180 degrees instead of the usual 120 degrees! I got mine from here..... http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/382-silver-indicators-pair-c-602-p-1-pr-16347.html You need the "382" size as opposed to the normal 581 indicator bulb. Richard:cool:
  9. Straight to the point there - and I reckon I agree with that... Richard:cool:
  10. That looks damn good mate:bow: But I agree with Si on the chrome 'plate surround.....:p Richard:cool:
  11. Are you a mind reader Phil.....? I have been thinking about that since yesterday....... Don't know, really. Maybe I'll post a poll..... Richard:)
  12. Hi Steve, I've always been a Jag fan and a few years ago I looked at the XK8 as a daily driver - although not the supercharged one as they were a lot more money at the time. I was disappointed and bought a Merc SLK instead. However the XKR supercharged is a different beast - expecially with the CATS suspension upgrade. And they are seriously fast! But the XKR will not be cheap to run - and I'd say that buying a sub £5k XKR will be as much of a lottery as buying a £1500 Ebay ZX.........;) Caveat Emptor!! Richard:cool:
  13. Thanks for the kind words, guys - and it's so true; just a simple change can really improve the whole look of the car!! Richard:hyper:
  14. Many happy returns Mike.....:hyper: Richard:)
  15. You're a star Isaac......Cheers buddy....... ......if you find it, I'll cover the postage and I'll owe you a :duffer: Richard;)
  16. Me neither - but they work very well on a red ZX:bow: I like that..... Richard:cool:
  17. Probably - it's not so important but if I do happen to find one, I'll do it;) Richard:p
  18. Hey Si, I guess you mean 3rd brake light? I did that mod on my last ZX, as I managed to buy a decent 2nd hand one fairly cheaply from AndyZ. However at £50 + VAT/post for a new one I don't reckon it's worth it...... Richard;)
  19. Hi all, I was a little busy with my new Z again today...... .......I replaced the (slightly knackered) aerial with a fully operational one (thanks to AndyZ; only £20 on Fleabay). Plus the best modification yet - I fitted my new 99-spec rear lights. Again apologies for the low quality pics from my phone. But you get the idea........;) Oh, and I gave it a wash:p Richard:hyper:
  20. Agreed:bow: - I've never liked the "sticker" type plates! Richard:cool:
  21. My favourite pics of my (old) Z........ Richard:)
  22. Hi Stu, I have the 99-spec rears ready to fit. I was planning on doing that once I have had the minor paintwork bits sorted........ I know, mate - I always do that when I clean the cars;) Thanks for all the positive comments guys; it's a nice tidy, original UK spec and I'm very pleased with my purchase..!! Richard:cool:
  23. Hi Phil, When the a/c man came round yesterday he did a couple of checks before carrying out the re-gas and discovered that the condensor had a slight leak. He reckoned that was the reason it needs recharging, so didn't want to fill it only to leak again! I'll try and get the car to Jeff at Zworld so that he can fit a replacement one - and he can also re-gas it while it's up there. Richard:cool:
  24. Hi Pete, Check the grommet around the base of the rear wiper..... .....these have a tendency to work lose and let water inside the tailgate. So when you open the boot after a downpoor, you get some water draining out into the boot as the tailgate lifts up! Richard:)
