  1. It is possible to run 28psi on a 5 Turbo........... but only once BOOM!
  2. No need to get uprated turbo's to achieve 400bhp at flywheel. My car has 390bhp at the flywheel (325bhp at wheels) mods are JWT chip, filter, decat, boost increase to 15.5psi, RPS street clutch. The bloke who dyno'd it said the fueling was ok. I could get past 390bhp with lightend flywheel and underdrive pullys. HTH.
  3. Yes that is a very good idea.

Take a look at this page http://www.z32racing.com/ on the left you will see quarter mile times for the zed, click on the time, you should see what they did to get thier car to do that time.
  6. Oh yes. As been said it is lighter for a start and should be quicker around the bends than the LWB. Oh, and if your a 1/4 mile nut and want to get rid of the excess weight on a zed then you can free up over a quarter of a ton which brings it down to the weight of a Ford Focus!
  7. Z32 all the way! Go for the 2 seater TT version. Much better all rounder than all the cars you mentioned!

    Welcome Back!
  9. Sounds like a challenge.....
  10. Yes we need Nuclear! But Fusion reactors are the future.
  11. Are there any single intake Nissan plenum's that are compatable whith the VG engine or any aftermarket?
  12. NOS is good! Nice cheap bhp! It's not cheating imo. 350 seems a lot though lol.
  13. Sorry to hear that. Would have been impressive if he had succeeded with that project though. Still can't get over the size of that turbo!
  14. Not seen much progress this year on that web site. Big mods like this often take a lot longer than you would expect as some people on here doing big power zeds will agree, many unforeseen problems occur.
  15. Couldn't agree more! Especially if the van is white!
  16. He removed the A/C pump and it will be mounted in that location. Scroll half way down this link and you can see a picture of it. http://www.japmetal.com/forum/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Proj1;action=display;num=1106172244
  17. Don't know exactly the largest, but I know of a person doing a single turbo convertion using a Garrett Master Power GT45 turbo and it is HUGE. As for a twin set up have a look on some of the yank web sites they seem to be the big players when it comes to big turbo big power zeds.
  18. The fast and the furious film springs to mind.
  19. WOW that is a lot of torque. Was it measured at wheels or flywheel estimate?
  20. One thing I love about the zed is you get the same if not more torque than bhp. Mine for example has very simple mods and I get 325bhp at wheels and 342ftlb of torque at wheels. Just out of interest what ft/lb torque you gatting Mac1?
  21. Yes john is a top bloke, he fitted my boost controller for me, top job. I have a JWT chip in my car, does his chip make a big differance compared to JWT?
  22. That is horific. They have taken away something that is very distinctive about the zed, and thats the front lights!
