  1. I have done the pcv valves and hoses and it made no differance. Thing is it wasn't smoking before I did the cat back, think I might try putting a standard one on, just don't want to wast money on buying another exhaust only to find it not going to cure it. Thanks
  2. I fitted a Mongoose catback exhaust to my zed (probably the worse thing I have ever done) and now got the dreaded smoke on tick over. If I put standard mid section and exits back on will it clear the smoke problem or is my rear turbo seal now totally gone? Cheers.
  3. All the above suggestions. When I removed my subframe I replaced the brake pipes above the diff so that may be worth doing epecially if you have a uk car.
  4. Ford Escort :hurl:
  5. Is it this one http://media.putfile.com/Skyline-and-300zx-street-racing
  6. You do get a small clunk sound when pollybushin rear end. I have replaced the suframe, diff and sway bar bushes with energy polyurathane ones and it does make a bit of a clunk sound when changing fram 1st to 2nd gear. Also you get a slight whine sound from the diff, which I think is quite cool, a bit like the rally cars make but no where near as loud.
  7. Ok just got the price for delivery on the 0s sensors from concept Z, $18 (£9.64) for global priority, and $44 (23.58) for express.
  8. I have sent them an email to find out what p&p is.
  9. Ok m8 thanks for the confirmation.
  10. As above. I can get a pair of them off the net for £74 http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=397&Car_Type=NIS300&UID=20060507140028 Just wondering if they are the same as UK spec? Cheers.
  11. Here is link http://www.specialtyz.com/transmission.htm
  12. How about one of those auto boxes Greg D uses on his 9.9 sec zed. It would be expensive to get it over here, but maybe you could get the spec off him and get someone to build it in the UK.
  13. When you fit your new filter put some sealant in between the nose panel and the bumper, this will stop water from dropping on the top of the new filter and causing hesitation problems.
  14. Mine has started to smoke ever since I put a mongoose back box on (has been decated for 3 years previously) the strange thing is it will smoke at 900rpm but at 950rpm not a trace of smoke! I have tried PCV and pipe replacement but no differance, 50rpm is the differance between it smoking and not smoking! It's worth changing the PCV's also make sure its not over filled with oil.
  15. Yes could be that. What about to stop it expanding under pressure, don't know what psi the fuel is under or if it would make a differance. Cheers.
  16. I just change my fuel filter today and also change the pipe going from it. It had a sleeve on it which I took off to put on the new one only I can't get it on! Just wondering what it is for and if it is really necessary to put it back on? Thanks.
  17. Carol Nash. £210 fully comp classic, 5000 miles, 30 year old.
  18. As far as i'm aware injector cleaner is ok to use once in a while, although other additives like slick 50 for the oil is a no no.
  19. Also one possability is a cloged/dirty injector causing a bad spray pattern washing oil from bore and burning off, run some injector cleaner through it, cheap things first eh.

Don't know about the autobox but the engine dipstick being pushed out can be caused by excessive pressure in the system. A worn engine can cause it, also failed PCV valves.
  21. The cheaper route may be to replace PCV first, this can reduce smoke on idle.
  22. Ok thanks for that Andy.
  23. Checked my o2 sensor readings both sides on the Datascan. On idle they both sit just under 30, and at 2000rpm they both swing between 30 and 65. Is this a normal readout? Thanks.
  24. I changed my pcv's last night and it is a right pain to do. The passenger side was easy but the driver side was a nightmare. It has actually made the smoke worse, fingers crossed it is clearing the system.
