Fitting Replacement Dials
That is a problem with some dials too, they do tend to stick which is not good. The dials will be completely wrong if its still reading KPH as you will be going 112mph when the needle is at full speed but will show 160mph on your dial. There are a couple of projects to make glow dials at the moment, one by Vijay on this forum and one from a place in Aus. So keep your eyes open for news. Stuart

Fitting Replacement Dials
The scale of a UK dial and US dial are different. The top speed on a UK is 180 and a US is 160 and a Jap with a converter the top speed is 190. So if you have a converted Jap speedo with a US over the top of it, when the US dial reads 160 you will infact be doing 190. Stuart

Another newbee ;-)
How much did your kit cost in the end?
-
Another newbee ;-)
I think he means exteriror styling but even so the kits must have cost £5,000 each, as most of them would have had a complete respray when the kit went on.

Wide body kits
You are really better off getting wider wheels. That is one of the main reasons for the wide arch kit. Spacers are a little bit of a grey area. Stuart

You are better off looking for an imported on as they are more likely modified slightly. Also keep your eye open on Auto Trader, as there are always cars for sale on there (Well Derrrrr, its a car sales mag:slap: ) Any way, there is a forsale section on the forum. Have a look in there for some Zs. There are so good ones on Auto Trader but you should really take some one who knows Zs with you when you look, or at least some one who knows cars. Also read the technical forum to get an idea of that are the troubled parts of the ZX. Stuart

That maybe why Castrol will normally charge you over £40 for RS10-60?

Attn : SRRAE
It was the one on the link I gave you, which now seems to be gone. I cant remember which Mk it was from. The only advice I can give you for the pod is to take out the centre console an try to put it in and then file away any part that is in the way.

Wheel alignment
I think the standard recomended values for a 300ZX asks for a little toe in.
-
Wheel alignment
Yes the rears are adjustable as standard the fronts are not. Incorrect cambre may be a result of slightly sagging springs. Stuart

Closest modern equivalent
You would probably get the Lotus Esprit SE which isnt faster than the Z. They only really became faster around the N reg when it became the S4 I think it was called. Then the GT series and then finally the V8, all of which are over £20,000 still.

Would you be interested in a Airfield Trackday?
Binbrook is the name of the village so if you look on http://www.rac.co.uk and go to the route finder it will find it. Same with Autoroute. There is a thread called Track Day Part 3, where people can vote to where they would prefer the day to be. Have people been voting? Stuart
