  1. I found the same when I changed my fuel filter. Its worth doing every year or so any way. Its only £11.
  2. Early afternoon in Wigan near Sainsburys. Red with an after market rear spoiler. Any one here. Dont think it was Wez because he has stickers down the door. Any one here? Stuart
  3. The spoiler is very very heavy. When I removed mine to replace it, I struggled becuase the pistons lift it up so much. Dont forget you physics at school. Force = MASS x Distance. Its a very heavy spoiler at the end of a long boot lid. Stuart

A bit longer? A lot longer I think ;) I actually turned down a purple R33 GT-R very cheap. I didnt have the money at the time  But I would miss not having T-Tops though, and I doubt I would have been able to afford the insurance. Stuart
  5. UK shocks are much better than the ones on the Imports. They are much firmer and give more grip. Import ones are very soft and no where near as good. This is why UK shocks are £90 and Import £20 or so. If you want to up rate them I would not put worse shocks on with new springs. Plus the lowered springs and soft suspention dont mix personally. You run the risk of smacking your under carrage on things. Stuart

I dont think it is as simple as that. The foam is not a good heat conductor, that is why they use it as insulation because it cant pass through. So even if you put it in a warm room the heat wont seep deep enough to dry the middle of it. If direct sunlight the hot summer where it reached 30ºC regulary and didnt rain for 5 and a half weeks didnt dry it out, taking it off and putting in your house for a week wont do a think. Its not a nice thing to admit, but ones its soaked in there is nothing you can really do about it. Stuart
  7. Hmmm, dont know. Every write up I have seen say pull it out by the plenum. Stuart
  8. Cos your Z is going doesnt mean you have to go.

That is an expensive badge. I would rather have the car that usually accompaies the car.
  10. Dont get what you mean. 100WATT bulbs work fine, they just blow very quickly because they get so hot. Stuart

It is possible to change them from under the car.
  12. Have been told 1000lb is enough. Using Google, 1000lb is 453.59237kg Stuart
  13. The HICAS works from a sensor in the steering wheel hub. So if the steering wheel is straight and the car is driving straight, the HICAS will keep the rear wheel straight. However, if the tracking is out which causes the steering wheel to have to be turned slightly to drive straight, the HICAS thinks you are turning and the rear wheels will turn accordingly as if you where turning and not driving straight. I think there is error detection on the HICAS just like on the ABS. If the ABS gets mixed signals for a prolonged period of time it will deactivate and warn you with the ABS light. If the HICAS thinks something is wrong i.e thinks you have been turning right for a few miles because the steering whee is turned to one direction even though you are driving straight, it will deactivate and warn you with the light. This is what I think happens and I am not 100% sure. Stuart
  14. When I looked at Machine Mart they where selling ones like that for over £100 and they where not strong enough to hold the engine. How much can this hold? Stuart
  15. As people may know I am up grading my car a little and I have the choice of better brakes or Xenon lights. Which should I go for?
  16. Like TonyC said. At that cost you can afford to buy them and they be rubbish. You wouldnt have lost much. I bought my strut from Ebay for £50 in p&p and it was very good. Stuart
  17. Im here.
  18. People always ask for ways to make engine more powerful but still reliable for cheap. It cant really be done. The more power you have the more stress you have on engine parts and they wont last as long. The only way around it is to change the internal parts for stonger ones which will cost you mega £££. The basic way to get good power from the car is Exhaust £500, Induction Kit £125, Decat Pipes £200, ECU Chip £150 - £500, Boost Controller £400, New Clutch £350 (all aprox costs and not including fitting) With this set up you should be close to 400bhp. More likely 380 +\- 20bhp or so depending on the condition of the engine. Dont expect your car to be as reliable as it is now. Modifying it this much is putting quite a bit more stress on the engine components and things like injectors and turbos will be close to the limit. I am not saying your car will become ultra unreliable. All engine will break. Modifying it will make it break sooner. One last thing though. I roughly have the set up listed there and I am forever wheel spinning. Flooring it in 1st and sometimes 2nd causes a wheels spin because I am still running stock wheels and they are just not wide enough. Stuart

For not it is still on but we dont have enough to make it an all Z affair. I will have to speak to Chris and make a decision about what is happening. The up take has been slow and I would have thought we could have got 25-30 people for this but it doesnt look like it. If people do want to know we need to know now, not when there are a few weeks to go. Stuart

Why do that? No one else bothers ;) He have had people write everything as if they where using text message short cuts. I dont think we actually answered his question though. They just got the piss taken out of them. :D ;) Stuart
  21. Woooow. What Z weather. Has to do the usually drift pulling up the street in snow. I got that down to a fine art now. :D But I must say in a straight line and pulling off the TC helped alot. Does very little to help you round corners though. Stuart
  22. Drag Racing. Right Click Save As. 9mb Burn Out. Right Click Save As. 14mb Stuart
  23. My socks are still wet yes. ;) I will have to sit this one out, unless I can rebuild my car in few weeks. ;)
  24. Dont believe some people. They obviously think they will own that reg number. They may have some come back becuase he only stated that it was the plate only on Tuesday, 6 days after the bid went up. Stuart
  25. Where did you get the blue hose from?
