  1. Alas no. It is something quite major now. I get a bad clunk from the drivers wheel when it happens the wheel or wheel bearing is grinding or rubbing on something. The car is off the road now for good untill its finished. I will get a better look when its half a foot in the air. Stuart
  2. Its only a little bit of crystalised water. Whats the problem?
  3. Had to get my dad to bounce in the boot once. :D
  4. For the people who dont know the name, Richard Brunstrom, is the Chief Constable of North Wales and the person who has a personal vendta against motorists. And becuase of him, it looks like the WRC welsh stage will probably never happen again. Anyway deputy Mayor of Holyhead, Jeff Evans, is taking him to court to claim back counsil tax which is given to the police. He says that not enough resources are being put in to tackling crime such as burglery and robbery and that too much is being used to catch motorists. I think he deserves to hang along with Blair.

  6. Errrrr, I still dont follow ;)
  7. The truth, the truth? You cant handle the truth!
  8. Thats it. That is our snowed in period. God it was awful. I was stuck in the house all evening.

I am sure leather seats where standard on the UK Z after a certain date ;) SMW1 has done a write up how to replace the tweed on the doors and glove compartment with leather. There used to be a site from the US which sold leather kits for seats and interior. I dont know if it is still there though, I think they where having some trouble last time I looked. Stuart

    Is that real?
  12. Not snowing here. Its been beautiful all day. Not a cloud in the sky. Rained tonight but stopped about 10:30 and again there isnt a cloud in the sky. I think the green house gases over Wigan is keeping the snow away. :D

Which part are you thinking about? The panels or the seats?
  14. I am confused about that. If you are under arrest you dont have to say anything, let alone sign anything, especially if it is sounding like a confession which what he said sounded like he did. If they try to use that as evidence they cant. They will say that is a confession that you went through on amber but a confession has to be taken while under arrest and with witnesses, I am sure of it. There was no obligation for you to sign anything. I would contest the ticket if I was you. Get some legal advice I am sure the copper did not follow the law correctly and even the slightest thing was dodgy with it the whole thing will get dropped.

Probably gone until the mess has been sorted out.
  16. 1) I cant see how a propshaft can whip like a skipping rope but a propshaft in 2 peices with a hinge in the middle wont. 2) What goes weak quick enough? The gear boxes? I have never heard of any one with gearbox internals breaking besides Autos, and even then the parts are usually just worn down. 3) Shorter pieces are stronger than longer parts. Its harder to bend and snap shorter pieces. So to make a propshaft strong enough for is car it will be cheaper to make 2 smaller parts and join them than 1 long prop shaft.
  17. Like you said the highway code actually says Amber means stop. You should have said you saw the light start to change but you was too close to the lights to brake safely behind the line. Tought luck but looks like the pigs have nothing better to do. Stuart
  18. You can get a EFI harness for the engine bay. It is the loom for the injectors, coils, O2 sensors, Water temp sensors, CAS and I think MAS and PTU too. Stuart
  19. If you get a wide kit I think the stock wheels will not only look out of place will look very silly. Plus I dont think you can use spacers safely to push them out far enough. You will have to get those spacers which have their own studs on. That for me would not be the ideal setup, as it must cause a large amount of stress on the rear wheel bearings. Stuart
  20. Would help saying where you are in the country ;) I dont think these track days will make you a better driver, just give you tips on how to drive round a track. Stuart
  21. NA dont have HICAS But I think the rear wheels can be tracked. Im not sure.
  22. I know some one was looking at getting them. But for £1000 I dont think it will make enough different to a Z with modist mods. Well not £1000 worth of difference.
  23. Means all 4 wheels. Because TTs have 4 Wheel Steering, there must be a track rod on it which can be adjusted. You will have to ask the place when you phone.
  24. I took my car to National Tyres once to get it tracked. Its done by lazer and the one I went to did it correctly and did a good job. I have heard bad things about Kwikfit and ATS Stuart
  25. I think it is unlikely you would have done any damage. Get it tracked and balanced again though. There is a huge difference from a wheel rolling against a kirb and one which slid into it full whack side on. Stuart
