If the phone will accept the sim, but not a signal, then it's reception. If it won't accept the sim then it's the phone

It's not the network, it's the TYPE of network you are trying to use. All networks here in the UK are second generation, 3 uses third generation, hence 3G. Now all other networks can also supply 3G but fall back to 2G when there is not a strong enough 3G signal, 3 only uses 3G technology, hence 3 sims wont work in certain phones, normally older ones. I would assume the one you've bought is not enabled for 3G technology, so I'd say firstly check the eBay auction description, but it's probably sell it and buy something else! Dave

I spotted why after I posted that earlier, they were trying to log-on, so I assume the system shows them as on-line, even though they can't get in!

We seem to be having a lot of new accounts set up for spammers! One still on that has 'Banned' as description, but still on-line! No Mods or commitee available to deal with it at the moment though

Shame I couldn't make it after all this evening, a little busy with other stuff. Just shown Karen these pics, and she's said we must make it to another one as soon as possible!

So then, what we are looking at here is a M24, which I assume is a factory modified version of the standard T24?! Which would make sense. I'll have to get these two replacements cleaned up and check to see what they have stamped on them, then I'll see about getting a rebuild kit for each of them. This is probably going to sound like a really dumb question, especially as I've been here so long and own Eliza for five and a half years now, but..... What type is the turbo charger? I've seen it written as a T24 and a T25! I know it's a Garratt, but not sure on type :D Thank you Dave
