  1. Yes, that would work as they both come from the same place anyway. You never said that part!!!!! ;) Well that sheds a totally different light on things! Some 'TIT' has changed it over without any form of common sense whats-so-ever! How the bleeding hell has it passed an MOT last time around?! Unless you can wire some sort of a horn button in somewhere, you'll have to buy a new steering wheel boss, that has the horn push wiring in it :headvswal You could put an OEM one back on, that would solve the problem Dave
  2. Right, lets start again........... Forget the steering wheel, all you need is the wires behind the bumper. They are both GREEN, and there will be one per side. This diagram was taken from the workshop manual and shows where they should be/come from. Points E40 & E8 are the fog lamp (JSpec) or Combination Lamp (UK/Euro) loom plugs, follow this loom back a short distance and you'll see another wire come from it (as in the diagram) it could be taped though, so don't expect to see a green one. This single one should go to a single spade connector, this is the wire you need! E41 & E9 To test it get someone else to press the horn button while you listen to the relay, if you hear a 'click' then your system is working. Now test the wire you've found, if you haven't already got one, buy a cheap multi-meter from Halfruads or the the local pound shop. There is only one wire as the OEM horns are Earthed through the bolt fixing. The new horn you buy will probably have two connections, one for the Earth, so you'll have to make a short lead up and connect it to an earth point yourself. I hope that is straight forward for you, if not give me a shout Dave
  3. Info on previous post has been edited. This is now correct to what I have running on Eliza. HTH Dave
  4. Right after an hour of searching, I've found it :D **EDITED OUT** Right, Series one wire colour first, series two after the dash (-); Plug one; 1) Black/Silver - Orange/Gold 2) Red White Stripe/Silver - Blue/Silver 3) Red/Silver - Green/Silver 4) Red Green Stripe/Silver - Red/Silver 5) Red Yellow Stripe/Silver - Yellow/Silver 6) Red Blue Stripe/Silver - White/Silver 7) Black/Silver - Black/Silver___ (Goes to Plug Two on PTU) Plug Two; 1) Blue Yellow Stripe - Pale Green/Silver 2) Black Blue Stripe/Silver - Grey/Silver 3) Blue White Stripe - Pale Blue/Silver 3a)_______________________________ (Black/Silver wire from Plug One goes in this position on PTU Plug Coupler) 4) Blue Red Stripe - Purple 5) Blue Brown Stripe/Silver - Light Brown 6) Blue - Pink I think my old series 1 to series 2 plugs are at my dads house still so I'm off round there in a while so will pick them up and confirm the above. **Checked with old cut-off plugs and current PTU set-up** HTH Dave
  5. I'm happy with Vuze, as it's not just a client it also shows you other stuff available. I also have utorrent as a back-up. And Mininova rocks, by far the best site even with their new filter running!
  6. Looks cool... unless you're on your way in or out of those rear doors ;)
  7. Heres the wiring diagram for you, all of your components SHOULD already be there, you should not have to do anything major. http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=el&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=89&design=default&total=133 Have a look at the relay first, make sure it is there and that there are wires under it, then it'll be a case of searching around inside the bumper for where they should be! The Horn replay is in the middle of the main Relay box in the engine bay... HTH Dave
  8. Pete... That's never you!! FAR too much energy  I'll sort it tomorrow, when I find it... I know it's somewhere as I only saw it about a couple of months ago
  9. hmmmm................ http://www.priceofhistoys.com/category/sofia/
  10. Hang-on, it gets worse......... http://jalopnik.com/400219/nova-kit-car-builder-admits-to-decades-of-crazy-customization
  11. And another one....
  12. Hi Dave, I remember well you being here loads when I first started coming here, and I'm sorry to hear that it has come to an end like this. I also have quite a few problems very similar to yours, but I'm going to soldier on with it :D All the best bud with your new wheels  Dave (Formally daves_new_ZX)
  13. It could be improved upon, like filling that huge hole infront of the rear wheel! Made me think it should of been along side this in Judge Dredd!!.......
  14. When you say you have series 2 connectors, do you mean you have the plugs for the PTU, but not the adaptor loom section.... ie; someones cut them short! If so give me until tomorrow when I'm back home and I'll dig out my colour code conversion chart that I made when I converted mine to the series 2 plugs directly to the original loom. This is a nice conversion, simple to do and cuts out another potential failure point, especially as you are expected to connect to a plug that could be as much as 19 years old! Dave
  15. j1mmytt & dunk300zxtt, cheers guys I really appreciate all of your input  and will see about obtaining some...... I take it I only need the two (one per turbo)? Dave
  16. Maybe he means.... Or a ..... Or even a..... ;) :nana2:
  17. Have a 'butchers' through this thread, a few pics of the front of my car with the bumper removed from various angles. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=42871&highlight=service HTH Dave
  18. Checking on Melett's own web site and looking through the Garrett .pdf brochure, the Step Gap Piston Ring is only in the performance section, and NOT included in the 360 deg kit. There is a Piston Ring included which is a different part number to the one supplied by dunk300zxtt above. Now the kit(s) I've received contains the standard Piston Ring. now the way I look at it, it's an option that doesn't come as standard with the 360 kit, so unless someone can come up with a good reason for obtaining them, then I will fit what I've received. No disrespect to either dunk300zxtt or j1mmytt, but I don't just do something unless I know why I'm doing it :D
  19. Cheers bud :duffer: that's what I was hoping
  20. I'm told that if it's a '92 or ealier then it will!
  21. Another thread has just made me wonder........ As I'm having the Tubs upgraded, and I'm having divorced downpipes fitted, I'm considering fitting de-cats as well. Now I currently have the Mongoose zorst with the twin 3" round exits either side. My question is... Would the zorst be louder with this set-up, and if so would it be a more basser sound to it? Has anyone done the same? ie; gone from cats to de-cats with the Mongoose already fitted? TIA Dave
  22. Arrived this morning....... 3 days & no customs either!! They look good quality and are made in the US. All the parts I need including the 360 degree bearings....
