  2. Thank you, but I think I'll keep it this colour, as according to my thread, What Colour Is Your Car? (http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=27744) It seems that mine is quite unique :D  as I'm the only one with Cherry Red Pearl. Dave
  3. Ah! James, you've only got one pic of the back of your car  Only joking m8, that looks very nice indeed, bet your glad I didnt buy it from you now ;) . But I would have done had I been able to sell my house on time. Hope to see it at some shows this year. Dave

  5. Whats the heading on this thread....................'Spent too much'.................and what have I done today........................I've gone out and spent some more  Well when taking out the interior trim, ready for the shockers being fitted, I noticed someone had replaced the rear speakers. So when I removed the door card to check the passenger door lock solinoid, I thought Id see what had been fitted to the front speakers............................. Bugger all, they were standard ones, and it was knacked. So a trip into town and now its fitted with a nice set of Kenwood 110 watt speakers in the front. Good job too, cus when I removed the drivers side one, it had deteriated completley. And some more petrol :D lol Dave
  6. Is it my imagination, or have you left your passenger in there  Or is it a ghost????????????????????? Dave

  8. Snappy Answer No. 1 A lady was picking through the frozen chickens at the supermarket, but couldn't find one big enough for her family. She asked the shelf stacker, "Do these chickens get any bigger?" He replied, "No , they're dead." Snappy Answer No. 2 The policeman got out of his car and the lad who was stopped for speeding rolled down his window. "I've been waiting for you all day," the policeman said. The lad replied, "Yeah, well I got here as fast as I could." When the policeman finally stopped laughing, he sent the lad on his way without a ticket. Snappy Answer No. 3 A truck driver was driving along. A sign comes up that reads "low bridge ahead." Before he knows it the bridge is right ahead of him and he gets stuck under the bridge. Cars are backed up for miles. Finally, a police car comes up. The policeman gets out of his car and walks around to the truck driver, puts his hands on his hips and says, "Got stuck?" The truck driver says, "No mate, I was delivering this bridge and ran out of petrol." And finally No. 4, THE TEACHER Snappy Answer OF THE YEAR A university lecturer reminds her students of tomorrow's final exam. "Now, I won't tolerate any excuses for you not being here tomorrow. I might consider a nuclear attack or a serious personal injury or illness, or a death in your immediate family but that's it, no other excuses whatsoever! ". A smart-**** bloke in the back of the room raised his hand and asks, "What would you say if tomorrow I said I was suffering from complete and utter sexual exhaustion?". The entire class does its best to stifle their laughter. When silence is restored, the lecturer smiles sympathetically at the student, shakes her head, and sweetly says, "Well, I suppose you'd have to write the exam with your other hand."
  9. No-one can tell you what to get, but I'll try and give you some pointers :) Some choices, Long wheel base (2+2) - Right, main advantage its got 2 extra seats in the back, ablait rather small. OK if youve got small kids, but only 2 of them, but uncomfortable for adults on long trips. Short wheel base - Main advantage, suposidly, faster than the 2+2. Sorry that was the only thing I could come up with, lol. Non-Turbo - Cheaper to insure, but slower than the turbo. Probably more economical on fuel. Twin Turbo (my personal choice  ) - The dogs knackers :D ----Nuff said!!! Automatic - Smoother, less left arm strain, lol. Lazy mans/womans car. Manual - A genuine racing persons choice, as you decide when you change up or down. Colour - Not getting into this one  Basically, you pays your money, and you takes your choice. It's personal preferance. Insurance wise, I would say that a UK, Non-Turbo manual would be cheepest, but then I went for the exact opposit of that :D *EDIT* ^^^^Spot the mistake, you cant get a UK Non-Turbo....opssssss :x: :xxx: Hope thats of some help to you. Dave
  10. I've been playing with Adobe Photoshop 7, I've had it for a while so thought I'd have a play. Can you spot the differance? Between And Unless your blind, obviously you can. I'm just rather proud of myself, cus it's the first real play with it. TBH I got carried away a bit, I only meant to remove the washing line, I even mended the gap in the fence :D Dave :D
  11. Right to answer a few replies, as I wasnt on-line last nite :) In order to your reply; 1) SMW1 - It takes quite a few turns, I'm talking of minutes on cold. On hot if I've left it all day, it may take a couple of turns, but if its only about an hour or so it'll start first time. 2) gotidude - The water level in the battery is fine, but I may still get a new one anyway, its only 60ah and a 440, so may see if I can get a bigger capacity. Having just stripped the rear interior trim out for having my new shocks fitted today, I've noticed that the fuel pump is speeding up and slowing down on idle, so I may get a new fuel pump and filter at the same time. Oh! and carburetter, lol, I like it m8  3) BarryD - Last night I left the alarm switched off, although the imobiliser still switches itself on, tgis morning the battery was fine, still took a bit to start, but at least the battery didnt die on me. Although I'm still not convinced that this is the answer. 4) markstevens - It does seem to run on all six cylinders, but it takes a while to get there, still think its fuel starvation, while the pump is presurising the system. Thanks very much everyone for all your help, the cars of to my mechanic this week anyway for the shocks and exhurst, so I'll ask him to check the battery out. Dave
  12. ty, I was told when I got it that it had had a new battery recently fitted, due to "it wasnt being used enough, so it had flattened the battery" Now I see why it was flattening the battery :D . Yeah, I'll have a good look around to see if I can find anything that might be draining it Cheers m8 ;) Dave
  13. Ok, can anyone please help me out here? TBH I think I may have two probs, I'll explain; Firstly it's a pain to start, it takes quite a few attempts to start it from cold. Its as if the fuel is returning to the tank, and its having to pump it back up before it'll start  Second, with the first problem, its draining the battery, not too much if I've used it the day before, but I last used it this week on Monday. When I got home from work this afternoon, I tried to start it, but as it didnt strike on the first attempt, it then lost the battery power and I just got a clicking on and off sound  . I've got a Scorpion alarm/imobiliser fitted, which is switched on all the time when I'm not using it, I'm persuming that it is this that is caursing the bettery drain............. any ideas of what I could do here, as it's not garaged, so I dont wana leave it without the alarm on. Dave
  14. Dont know how you guys find the time to play with each other!!!!!?????? I never get the opertunity to play with myself, let alone anyone else     Dave :slap:

Dave, yes m8, I'm very much enjoying my Z, especially as I can look at it from my lounge window, as it dont move much, lol    And Adam, i'm trying not to do steps 3 & 4, but am on step 2, pmsl. Dave :hyper:
  16. Right, thats it for January, I've spent far too much this month. I only got the car on 29th December and I've already put £109 worth of fuel in it, and used it all up. I've also brought 2 new rear shocks, cheers Luke ;) , and now a full SS exhaust, again cheers Luke ;) . Total spend this first month = £695 (aprox, with some other bits) + ive gota pay to have the shocks and zorst fitted yet  Ive only had the car 3 weeks, bloody hell    And theres still things to sort out, Air-Con control consel to change Passenger central locking to investigate And the tyres to look into, as they are the wrong size, do I change em or keep em till they wear out? Apart from that, It's the best thing I've ever brought :D I love it. Dave
  17. Thanks guys for all the help. But at about £200  I dont think I'll bother. I could spend that sort of money on somthing more worthwhile, like a nice wood dash kit, if I can find a nice one  probably like lack300's :D Dave
  18. Two ship captains were sitting at the bar one night getting good and lit when one turned to the other and said, "You know what gets me, though, is these damn sailors! Oh sure, they're fine for the first few weeks, but on those three-month trips at sea they start getting pretty hard up. With all the whacking off going on, it's a wonder any work is getting done, and it's making a mess all over the ship. I don't know what to do!" The other captain smiles knowingly at his companion. "Oldest trick in the book. You take the crew and divide them into two teams. Then you buy about 50 barrels and put them on the ship. You tell the crew that the team that fills the most barrels wins a bag of gold." "Well that's a great way to keep the ship clean, but then I'm out a bag of gold every trip!" "Not so," replied the other captain. "After you get back to port, take all the barrels together and sell them to the wax factory to make into candles. You make a tidy profit every time." The captain pondered this and the next day, he took his friend's advice and divided the crew, bought a bunch of barrels, and set off to sea. Before long, the crew took to the new system and began filling barrel after barrel. When they finally reached port, the captain sold the barrels for a huge profit. 'This is great,' thought the captain, 'before long, I'll be able to buy a new boat!' This went on, voyage after voyage. Then one day, the ship happened back to that very first port. Coming down the gangplank, the captain was surprised to see the cops waiting for him. As they slapped the cuffs on him, the captain cried out, "What's the meaning of this?!" "You sick b*****d," replied the cop. "Remember all those barrels you sold to the candle factory last time you passed through town?" "Sure," said the captain. "What about 'em?!" "Well, they made them into candles, sold them to the convent, and now all the nuns are pregnant!"
