  1. Can anyone tell me what the resistance value would want to be if I was to use this LED type, and run 12vdc through it? If I was to run more than one LED in parallel, how would this affect the resistance value? All help appreciated  Edit, also how could I run some LED's, on a separate run, brighter then others on another run?
  2. Mainly dependent on some items arriving, but hopefully within the next week or so. But I need at least one day off work to fit it all in the car ;) so I'll have to wait and see.

  4. Wayne....... You're an idiot mate!!! ;) :D Only joking!! If you want to let the 'items' go with this Zed, I can do you custom ones for your new one!! Complete set-up, your choice ;) I'll keep you informed as to how I get on with mine :D
  5. Take a look through the FAQ for the Fog Lamps, it'll give you a wiring diagram. Incidentally, although that method IS in the FAQ, it is technically illegal, by the letter of the law!! (See link within the FAQ for legal requirements) Yes it does, as stated in the FAQ. Depending on your switch type, this is a simple thing to do.
  6. Sorry you've had issues with them bud. My own two separate dealings with them have been straight forward and concise, in fact my last lot arrived a week early! (Sorry, not trying to rub it in ;) )
  7. Daves_Zed replied to a post in a topic in General Discussions - Non 300ZX
I wish you all the best with it Si, hope it comes out as good news. Dave
  8. The relay for the headlamps is in the relay box in the engine compartment, along with it's fuse/s. Doubt though that the fuse has gone, as each side has a separate fuse, as well as a separate relay!
  9. Arrrrrrr good point. Hmmmm Neil, are you referring to the power supply for the actual fog lamp, or for just the switching side of the relay? If it's just the switching side, then what I've put is quite adequate, if it's for actually powering the fog lamp/s then don't do what I've put, use either a dedicated supply (drivers foot well has a few spare spaces)(as Ollie as stated above) or run it, as I've done, from the cigar lighter :D unless your a smoker and are fitting two fogs, then just don't light up using the car lighter while driving in fog ;)
  10. No, sorry bud, my old alloys are well gone now. Replacing the plastic trim, scuttle panel, is a fairly easy job. Make sure you have all the new captive plastic screw/nuts, as this makes the whole job a lot easier. Phillips screwdriver a pair of pliers and a socket wrench with a 13mm (I think) socket on should be all you need to do the job. Basically all you need to do is remove the wiper arms and unscrew the plastic screws (use the pliers to pull the captive part out) Chuck the old bit in the bin, along with the old screws/nuts and fit new one/s. Align wipers back up and you're done. Horn, depending where it's actually fitted depends how much you'll have to take off. But basically it's a un-do and remove job. Refitting new ones depends on what you buy. I just got a pair of twin horns from halfords that do the job nicely for me. All i had to do was make up a negative wire for each of them. job done. Fuel lines.... Tighten them isnt a problem, but if you need to remove them, then you'll need to relieve the fuel line pressure first. Disconnect the fuel pump relay, undo fuel cap and start car until it stalls. Then the fuel pressure is full dispersed! Don't forget to reconnect the relay and pt the cap back on. HTH
  11. Ooooooppssss :wack: sorry Neil I forgot to post back yesterday! Anyway the info isn't quite straight forward as I first thought. Firstly I remembered when I got in there that I decided to use the lamp in the cigar lighter as it was nearer and easier to get to, so I never bothered with the pod after all :D But I've checked for you anyway and it's the Green/Red wire, or at least it should be, but there are some wiring colour changes over the years. So if this doesn't match up with your colour scheme, let me know and I'll see what i can do to help. Check for the exact positioning first as well.
  12. My old chrome alloys were 18 x 8 front and 18 x 9.5 rear, if that's any help to you. As for manuals....... Haynes don't make one for the Z32, HP? don't know that one, and the Chilton is a US published book, which are supposed to be quite good although I've never read/seen one. But what info do you require? The on-line service manual is always available (http://300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi) and I've got two downloaded US versions of the manual as well (1990 & 1994) If it's part numbers you want there are loads of CD Parts Lits on offer on eBay all the time. HTH
  13. I don't know, I just fill her up when she's empty, then drive, until she's empty again.. etc, etc....... But then having one of my O2 sensors not working wont really help fuel consumption very well, well actually it will help fuel CONSUMPTION quite a lot I suppose, but in the wrong direction ;)
  14. Not good news bud. Only advice I can think of is see if, in the mean time, you can find another equaly well paid job. If you can, then take the money and run :D If not, then at least you know where you stand. Best of luck either way :duffer: Dave
  15. I've had a set of these hoses sat in my shed for about 9 months now for this very same reason. Shame I never spotted this post before. Ollie, if no-one else responds to this I'll try to have a look tomorow morning, but I'm off to work in a few mins so haven't got time now.
  16. All the information you require is in the on-line service manual, and the start of the section you require (Engine Assembly) can be found by clicking this link, then simply click the page to advance on .... >>>> http://300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=em&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=58&design=default&total=70 HTH Dave
  17. Yeah totally agree here, mines Cherry Red Pearl, and on a cloudy day, and especially during the winter she just looks like a dark red boring car, but shined up and with the sun beaming down on her she's the dogs *****cks!!! I think it's the same with all the pearl paint colours on the Zed, they all look far better in the sun shine.
  18.     Have a guess ;) Yes I received them, eventually, but they were defo NOT worth the wait! Extreamly poor quality mouldings, in fact so rough i could of thrown them together myself and come out with something better. I'm still in the process of 'bodging' them into something that resembles what they are supposed to! Would be nice to have them finally finished by JAE this year (only a year later than they should of been!!) We'll see ;)
  19. Rain-X has been around for years.... http://www.motormania.co.uk/product_subcategory.asp?cat=Car%20Care&subcat=Interior%20Cleaners
  20. Pics will be forthcoming once it's installed with the full RED illumination, including the side pods :D Still trying to sort some more subtle 99 spec differances out ;) (watch this space ;) )
  21. Yeah will do, I should be re-doing mine next week, hopefully! Touch only - Basically the LED is held in plce into a rubber bung, this is then pushed into the hole, and electrical contacts simply make contact by touch only, they are not clamped or forced together in any other way than just simply touching each other, bit of a crap idea. Anyway I'll see if it's possible to improve on this and will add it into the original post somehow if I'm succesfull. Watch this space ;)
  22. You win a virtual pint, and here it is >>>>> :duffer:
  23. As Higgins used to say to Magnum every week...... "Oh, my GOD!!!"
  24. I gave too much of a clue in the question ;) Yes Carl got it right :duffer: I've got a full 300kmh cluster coming over, in 99 spec white
