  1. Might be able to make this, but depends if Eliza is in bits or not, hopefully she will be  , not so that I can't go, but that'll mean all my bits have turned up and I'm installing them :D But then I'm also supposed to be buying my new apartment next week as well  that's if the solicitors pull their bloody thingers out!!
  2. Nooooooooooooo don't do the own brand/cheap shite stuff, I've got one (was a present  ) really not powerfull enough, mine doesn't hold a charge really long enough, and won't work from the mains lead, so once the batts flat you're fooked!!
  3. I've always fancied Kylie, doesn't mean I can have her though
  4. You've gota be Sherlock Holmes to work out some of the crap I post on here these days, as I go off on so many tangents ;)
  5. Popular these rear view cameras arn't they? ;) Has anyone got one installed on a Zed?
  6. He, he....... What do you think?
  7. Why would I want an RCA lead for a clock cluster? ;)
  8. But then you'll have a dead gauge on the dash?!?
  9. No prob bud :D It's always the little things that are enoying!! ;)
  10. Sounds like the radio part may be knackard! Try another head unit in there, if it works fine then you need a new head unit. But if it doesn't then at least you know you've got a problem elsewhere. Personally I'd say it's the head unit.
  11. NO!! :D And I've just sorted something else out that I've been after for ages, but I'm not saying what that is either!!!! :D
  12. Well the item this is for has turned up (bloody quick paddling!!) This RCA lead hasn't yet though, both were orded at the same time!! ain't it typical, you can get something all the way from Hong Kong, but something even smaller takes longer from your own country! Anyway got to wait for the main thing that all this plugs into to arrive yet before I can start installing it all :D
  13. Please expand on what you mean by cutting out? 1) Do you mean just the radio goes quiet? 2) Or do you mean the whole unit dies? If it's 1, could it be that you are in a weak reception area? And it's taking a second to retune to the next RDS frequency? If you mean 2, then probably check all the power connections to make sure you haven't got a loose one, if that doesn't cure it, buy a new head unit!! HTH Dave
  14. Good one!! Yeah, I use Altavista for the original site translation, so I'm well used to it all  They've got some damm good bit's and bobs on there, just a shame some of them you have to be a registered member for, and you can't register!! I've tried loads of times, it simply doesn't work
  15. Yep really good news bud :duffer: :duffer:
  16. Yeah, ignore the PTU side then, as I'd missed that it wouldn't caurse this problem. Yes it could be the injector then. Thingers crossed for tomorrow then :duffer: Dave
  17. I think Yoda wrote it!!   "Wrote it he did, hmmmmmmm"
  18. Arrr, didn't realise this bit :D Well at least you arn't being fleeced!!! As I'm assuming he's taking ALL the expense on? Thought I'd missed something important ;) Well warming up wouldn't improve the PTU then. So ignore my comments!! ;)
  19. I've tried reading through all your posts on this, but may of missed something, so please excuse me if it's already been mentioned. :D How has this mechanic ruled out the PTU? An intermittent PTU problem can be caused by heat within the unit. This heat is built up, as the unit is bolted to the cam cover. heat in the engine is transfered into the casing of the PTU. If there is a defective soldered joint within the unit, then this heat build-up will dramatically affect this joint, thus affecting the spark. Under load the unit could be failing, or even one of the connections onto the PTU or even one of the Coil Packs. Injector? Is there no fuel going into the cylinder then?
  20. Best of luck bud, always a nervious time for your first Zed one. :duffer:
  21. Excellent news Nick, really pleased for you bud. Was wondering what you were gona say.... ;)  Depends how desparate they are, I suppose!!
  22. Laptop with ConZult!! I never really use it, either the laptop or the ConZult...... Laptop specs are.... Brand: Dell C610 Processor Speed: 1.2 GHz Processor Type: Intel Pentium III Hard Drive Capacity: 20 GB Memory (RAM): 512 MB Screen Size: 14.1 inches Primary Drive: CD-RW (Spare CD-ROM) Features: 10/100 LAN Card, Modem, Operating System (XP Professional), USB Complete with a spare 1.2Ghz processor, 20Gb hard drive, 2 x spare screens. 2 X 240v power adaptors 1 X Car/Cigar socket adaptor Case ConZult, complete unit as bought direct from Danny (DTA UK). Unit, lead and CD. In fully working order. If I was offered the right price for this, then I'd be prepared to sell it complete. BUT, like I say, I'm only thinking about selling it, as I've not made my mind up yet (hence this is not in the For Sale section) If anyone is interested, then please PM me, but consider the fact that this would be the full set-up as I'd not even consider splitting them up, so make me an offer that you think I'll accept, considering how much ConZult costs ;)
  23. Si, have you got some sort of targa self lifting device on your zed? ;)
  24. I know, I even checked the address before I wrote that..... and still wrote it wrong :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal
