HEAD GASKET trouble ?
yes if a head gasket goes you are looking at a pretty big bill but not £2k and theres a much chance of the HG going on a 300 as any turbo car :) if the car is low mileage, been well looked after and well serviced then you should be fine ;) Mike

Looking into sponsorship??
Some good ideas there bud :) Will sort something out over the weekend. Would like to get some of the traders on here involved first, even if its not in a massive way but more discount for me etc but it all helps ;) Cheers for that Mike

Looking into sponsorship??
not tried anyone as yet, would rather keep it in the club with the traders on here if poss but if nothing comes of it then i may look elsewhere but hey who knows ;) once the car is up and running at full power it should be interesting and turn a few heads and it should be too hard to get it mag featured in all the main mags? Looking into sponsorship??
As i have pretty much decided to make my car pretty much a drag/track car i am looking into ways of keeping the costs down on running her in events etc So as most of the other "big boys" in the skyline, supra, RX7 world etc have sponsorships why not me? Basically i have done 99.9% of all the work and paid for it all but its more oils, some bodywork, maintenence, tyres, general running costs at events etc etc i'm looking at and dont mind getting it stickered up and letting the car be used for the sponsors own events etc?? Not 100% sure how it all works but if theres any traders who want to get involved then let me know. Mike

WOW then DOH
he did mention he had made up about 8 sets of manifolds for you?? i hope to drop all my stuff off to him next week or so  Mike
-
WOW then DOH
i did discuss this and Leon says a 2 1/2 system feeding each side is more than enough for over 900 bhp but i will be going for a 3 inch :) remember its split so i will have a total of 6 inches removing the air ;) which should be more than enough, i hope!! Mike

Head Gasket, Coolant Leak Seal Products Like K-seal
the 300 engine warms up very quickly, you may get away with a few miles if its full of water but your always running a risk!!

Head Gasket, Coolant Leak Seal Products Like K-seal
i wouldnt use it mate, if you drive it and it over heats and bear in mind the oem guage is sh1te then you risk cracking the heads etc and causing alot more damage!! i would price it down the road and call the AA out and get them to take you to the garage ;) Mike
-
WOW then DOH

WOW then DOH
Well my new bits turned up today  So was very very happy New 20g turbos next to my 18g (now chrisd's) note that the compressor housing is the same The exhaust housing is bigger and the wheel is much bigger No these are monsters!! how the hell were gonna get these to hang down and fit in the bay i dont know but there massive!! Greddy Type R wastegate So the day started really well, can i also say a big thanks to Deve8uk who very kindly lent me his manifolds until mine come and also sent me some other stuff as well so biiiiiiiiiiiig thanks for that mate. started putting the manifolds and turbos together when i noticed the downpipes looked too small and yep i was right!! much too small so this has really fooked things up as there not the sort of thing you can just buy so Leon is making me a new set up as well as a new front exhaust section in 3 inch so this wont be done for a few weeks :( so i'm having a break from it for a few weeks now. Bugger :smw: oh well i will have a few beers instead :duffer: Mike

-
Advance tickets for Trax, Silverstone
You have to book trax really early!! i think they stop taking club bookings about 8 weeks before the show :( The last time i did the events i had only just taken the role and missed it but i did manage to swindle a club space but there may have been some left over?? but i did have to go mental and tell a few white lies by saying i had applied for a club stand etc etc ;) Mike

How much work involved to fit forged pistons?
Hi Barry yes you can just fit forged pistons :) you would need to get the block bored for the new pistons and either fit na squirters or slightly bend the tt ones to point at 90 degrees. it is alot of work as you need to strip the engine right the way to the bare block but it gives it the strength if your planning to go higher power in the future and with the exchange rate in the USA its not expensive to buy a full rebuild kit with pistons etc. give me a bell if you want to chat more about it mate Mike

FAO Kirbs
