i think you have been more than patient and you are quite within your right to keep a deposit, which is by definition a deposit on goods that you will complete the transaction but they clearly have not and clearly will not. its always a hard one and is down to you but if you have turned down sales and lost money then keep it. father in law has the type-r and its seriously fast, kept up with my zed, his runs 300 bhp but its alot lighter and feels alot more responsive, the model he has has the fastest official 0-60 on the scoobies, think its 4.3 seconds which aint bad "of the shelf" must admit i need an estate car and i do fancy a scooby sti wagon, doesnt take much to get them to 350bhp ish

they do sound good and the zed (if its running them) has 2 so sounds even better :)

jus to add i know a few importers who are trying the loophole of bringing the car to another eu country, registering it and then exporting it again to the uk

there is a model report for the R34 but yes there is loopholes ie they have to put it to pretty much standard and even then there is a special exhaust system to pass our mot which is where the issues are, think it costs around £5000 to pass the r34 on sva :shock: and even then there is no gaurantee that it can be made road legal so its alot of money to pay out to sit on your drive way and cannot be driven.

its nice but its alot of money, i would be very nervous if someone wanted me to import a 300zx that new/expensive, there is another one which keeps coming up for sale now and again and that ones a 2001 reg with 2500 km on the clock AND its been tuned!! running around 450bhp but that when it was up for sale was about £20k over here LOL i do like the type r's but they tend to be NA's

last one i came across was this one but your looking at £13k :shock: very nice though (crap quality pics)

i'm pretty sure there is no model report for the 300zx so near on impossible to import a 99+ one, there are a few around at the moment and there mega expensive!!

even the skyline market is in free fall, you can get a decent R33 gtr for under £10k now and a R32 for under £6k!! you go back 18 months and 32's got £10+ and 33's never sold for under £15k so its hitting all markets, the supra TT can now be had for £6k and under for a basic model so as all these cars tend to be newer than ours then i dont think were doing too bad. it will fit as its the same offset but obviously its a little too wide so you will get some rubbing on full lock so its a case of being careful if you have to do it :)

you can get the r33 spare which goes over the brembos or the other way is if you get a front puncture then stick a rear wheel on the flat front and stick the spare on the rear ;) hard work but the only way

he's already got the plate on retention so do i need to request it to be transfered to my car? just need to know when to pay him as i dont really know the guy??
