Best Turbos
just had another look and from memory you need: new manifold gaskets - any manifold gaskets ie oem nissan ones passenger side manifold to wastegate pipe (will dig out a pic) - will need to be custom made both downpipes - need to be 3 bolt ones, most of the usa sites sell them, smithy could possibly get them? intake pipework and silicon couplers - should be able to source these easily, i made up my own from an intercooler pipework kit Lastly you need some braided pipes, these you can get from any hose factors ie staufs etc, if you take a wastegate with you they will make some up, you need one that goes into the bottom of each wastegate and then up to the back of the engine at the top where they need to be joined together and t-pieced to the boost controller, exactly the same as above with the middle of the wastegate, basically one pushes and one pulls the wastegate, on the boost controller solonoid it will have 2 inputs for these but remember to set the boost controller to external wastegate mode :) I would imagine all this would cost you around £500 ish Mike

Best Turbos
yeh but remember that was at the fly, this guy is talking 580 at the wheels!! on 555's LMAO sorry buddy but you take that car out of the usa to an "accurate" rolling road and it would make 100 rwhp less!! for some reason every car ive seen in the usa makes impossible power!! so i jsut ignor them :smash:

Best Turbos
the 16g kit is a very streetable kit and good for 500 rwhp, you just need to add to your kit which will be cheaper
-
Best Turbos
i wouldnt get that excited, ive not seen anyone over here make more than 450 bhp on them, its the usual USA BHP BS mate, theres no way unless your running a huge amount of nos and huge cams that the 530bb's will make over 500 rwhp never mind 580 LOL please bear in mind MACs running turbos nearly twice the size as them at full boost only makes about that!! but at least thats geniune ;) Mike

Best Turbos
how longs a piece of string mate, all depends on what you want, do you want a fast road car, a drag car, a track car, a top speed car etc etc on my list if i was to do it again would be the hks 2530's for a good all round car, the garrett 2860's are a good all rounder, obviously the greddy turbos are very proven if not older technology, gt30's if you want brute power, something like the 530bb's if you want a fast low lag street car Mike

Missing parts from a turbo Kit
its far from a full greddy kit bird theres the down pipes missing, most of the flanges ie manifold etc, there looks to be one of the wastegate pipes missing as well as all the intake and silicon couplers, theres also the wastegate braided pipes which go to the boost controller!! If i was you and you bought this as a full kit i would go back to the seller!! Mike

2000 reg slicktop!!
its got a buy it now price of 1500000 yen which i would imagine is around £11k OTR over here, but it would need to be garaged for 18 months until its 10 years old LOL

Drag ZX Pics
tbh i looked at some of the pics on your site and it looked like there was no pipework from the induction to the intake of the turbos but when you look at the top picture of the engine there is pipework which is good news for you :) i presume there are filters where the side mounts used to be. the intercoolers look custom made and obviously do a good job to make 814ps LOL

Arrg f-kin car
Once day i will come on here and you wont be moaning about something chris :rofl: its a zed, it will fall apart LOL ;)

2000 reg slicktop!!
just spotted this on the yahoo auction site in japan. shame about the doors but apart from the doors :bow: http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b90007023

Drag ZX Pics
there the intercoolers, from the looks of it, its not running any induction kits, so i presume the turbos have meshing on the front and left open!! my 300 with the 18g's came like that from japan. Mike

hks fcon pro
the fcon is a good piggyback ecu and is fairly cheap to buy but its very expensive to have mapped and can only be done by a hks power writer and they charge alot for it!! i had one on mine and in the end i ditched it and bought the AEM stand alone :)

big turbos
looking at old pics of the gt28rs and yes they could be but one thing i would be concerned about and thats why they need a refurb as the gt28rs is not an old turbo so why would it need a refurb?? plus if you look here you can buy them for $1175 each brand new which is what £591 each plus postage and imports duties or not if your careful ;) so for £1200 you can buy new so dont get ripped off :) Mike

big turbos
look like a t28 in which case theres no chance of getting that kind of power, think the most anyone on here with t28's has is around the 450 mark ish i would have thought the tdo4's greddys or the 2510 hks turbos would have been similar but both with much better spool than the t28's Mike

Perfect Zed
sad as it is but a zed will never win or come close in TOTB bud, you have some cars entered by the likes of abbey etc that have 250k+ under the bonnet, just look at norris who won it last year!! how many people can buy a new evo, cut it in half then chop the roof of and build a new car LOL the only event the zed would do well in is the top speed where it can certainly socre points but up against the evos, scoobies and skylines all running in the 8's and the 4wd cars in the handling its got no chance. would be nice to actually see a zed enter it though :)
-
Do any of these fit ?
not quite as easy as that, if its a bolt on turbo it needs to be a T25 flange to bolt up to the manifolds and a 4 bolt exhaust side for the down pipes, out of them the T28 is the most likely but you would need some 5 bolt downpipes

Perfect Zed
if the brakes are working perfect and remember its a swb so alot lighter then they should be upto the job but your right, if i had 800+ bhp i would want overkill on the brakes department :p its still on the yahoo auction site but its not dropped in price as yet, its been through 3 or 4 times and not sold so i bet it will drop in price soon :) just wish i have 13k spare

Anyone had a Seat Leon?
i borrowed the leon FR 170 bhp diesel for a few days and i loved it, not many cars with the kind of leg room in the back as the seats but TBH i then borrowed the altea FR, same chassis, same engine, slightly softer ride and more space inside and in the boot and imho was the better car!! i know the leon looks nicer but i would live with the altea much better having a family ;) Mike

Some old zed memories
i know mate, the worse thing is ive been offered one of the best zeds in this country and would have it on my drive in a heart beat but i just cant afford it unless i went serously into debt to get it and i cant justify it :( maybe once my business is doing well i will invest in another toy :)

AEM Setup
no you wont need it yet, for that power your gonna be at the AFM's limit anyway so yeh get the MAP sensor :) as jaffa says the traction does work but is very basic but it does work, the launch works very well but if you do get it set up make sure you dont use it too much as it WILL fook your turbos over time ;) but it does sound cool :hyper:
