hmmm so greddy/trust spend millions developing stuff then some dodgy tw@ts in china copy everything and sell it cheaper and thats fair? dont get me wrong i'm all for free trade and healthy compatition but something seriously needs to be done about the rip offs from china also dont you have the greddy kit to go on?? if so then wont you be pi55ed when you cant get parts for it? not having a dig i just think its a real shame when a company makes some top stuff and has to shut up shop :( Mike

from working with supras and skylines i would say yes, you can get pretty small single setups on a supra which spool up at around 2000 revs which is lower than a oem zed and make over 500rwhp ;) also you only have one of everything so its cheaper if something goes wrong :)

your never going to get the maximum rated out of a turbo as there calculated on a test bench in perfect flow conditions. remember the zed is like having 2 x 1.5ltr engines running each turbo so you dont have that much dispacement to spool and make the power of say a 3 ltr supra with a single turbo. i would say additional mods will help you get closer to the rated power, things like cams and everything to make the car breath and flow better will make you alot more power :) Mike

there are no power fc's for the zed, a few tuners in japan modified a skyline one to fit but it does not control all the zeds functions so you would be best looking else where. others depend on spec, if your not gonna get a mega spec then a simple remap will do, medium then aem and a few others like emerald etc or go high end with a motec Mike

you can get roughly 450 bhp out of a stock engine, obviously alot depends on condition etc and map but i wouldnt run more than 15 or 16 psi on a stock engine or it will go bang at some point!!

the way my dad does it is the first minute of the engine start up is the most inportant so rev upto 4-5000 revs for the first minute or so of start up to bed in the rings then run to 3000 revs for 300 miles then oil change, then 4000 revs for 300 miles and oild change then 5000 revs and another oil change then full map and away you go we have done this several times and its never gone wrong yet :)

Just found this, interesting watching it, little bit unfair that the S15 has a sequancial box but shows some interesting things up bearing in mind the zed was the second most powerful car there!! Mike

i think its actually got a full fuel system installed, from memory when i looked at it, its got a nismo 280 lph pump feeding an external tank. running 814 whp is technically possible but the fuel pressure must be at least 4 bar and in the 90%'s so if it was mine i would have stuck some 1000's in but it is possible on 850's be it only just LOL please also remember the usa vert ran over 1000 rwhp on 740's LMAO theres no doubt the spec on the car and the greddy turbos are pretty good at spool as mac and i know ;) Mike

Anyway Iain, all that wide arse kit makes your slow :p On a serious note i agree, there only a very small persentage of people on here which have actually had the balls to spend serious money on they zeds, its madness as you will never see the money again but hey that life and its for the love of the cars. To be fair to this car in question, it is someones love and joy in japan and the guy had put some serious money into it and really looked after it, i dont think it looks tatty inside, yes its got a silly bandana on the steering and could do with some nicer mats but apart from that its pretty much stock inside apart from the guages, ecu, afr etc which again people dont understand that once you go to this level you need to monitor your car very closely!!! I would have this in a flash and i'm sort of pi55ed off that i posted the original link for this car and all ive done is handed a car which he has paid £10k for and he is selling it for £16k :xxx: but hey he has taken the risk on it i suppose but just a shame no members wanted it. From me looking into this car it is genuine, be it right on its limits at 1.8 bar which is the max the greddy turbos will run to and the spec does support them kind of figures, i believe it was also on pump fuel ie 100 ron so shouldnt be too much down when remapped in this country on 99 ron so i would guess 850 should be on the cards. Needs progressive NOS though to help them puppies spool up, i would imagine you wouldnt see 1 bar until 4750-5000 revs without nos so its gonna be a handful LOL but with a decent mapped in nos i recon it could be a real weapon :) Funny thing is as well is its not been build as a drag car in japan but more a fast street car with its suspension and diff etc With regards to the spat between mac and lee, i dont think it was with mac but more kim but all a little childish, yes the car is going to be more powerful than macs, so's hundreds of other jap cars in this country, that life!! its one of them, you do a search on any garage including some of the most expensive and experienced and you will always dig up horror stories along with the good things!! you takes your pick and you takes your chances who ever you use ;) Mike

must admit most bikers pi55 me off, they think theres a special lane in the middle of the roads which is theres?? they weave in between traffic then get pi55ed off then a car changes lanes?? dont get me wrong i would love to take my test and own a bike at some point but bikers are so at risk so why ride like dicks??

just pm'd you bud but they are right, the gtr maf is different, can only flow about 220bhp each so once the skyline goes over 450 bhp they have to change to nismo ones or z32 ones etc or go MAP sensor hope that helps Mike
