well just a quick update, i have sorted out the emissions for the mot, a friend of mine who owns a tyre place and does exhausts had an mot place that are decat friendly ;) just need the fog sorting and a small split welding and it will be legal on the road :)

about £9500 all in ;)

thats exactly what it is, two welded on top of each other and as long as they feed the correct side they will be fine, its more to do with the end tanks and weld quality, they look like a greddy copy which isnt a bad thing ;)

i can get one fairly cheap so may end up buying it

yeh it does, think its a jd chip but will need to check with its previous owner, no i dont have conzult yet but i am trying to borrow one to see whats going on in there :) will give it a good going over at the weekend and do a leak down test and boost leak test to make sure everythings OK

i did tell him this but he showed me the system and if it doesnt pass the initial test then have to go onto the system and put in the reg number etc and then you have to do a cat test which it fails so if i can get the emissions down without the cats then it should pass but i tried pulling a vacuum of the balance bar and it did nothing?? infact it made it slightly worse LOL

i think he was just guessing as it gave different readings from each bank its registered on 1.9.1995 which after 1.8.1995 it needs a cat :rolleyes:

bloody thing LOL main thing is the emissions, for some reason on the drivers side it was well over but the passenger side it was lower but he couldnt get a lamber reading?? said it could point to a problem on that bank. it does pop a little on idle any ideas?

not sure, jon who used to have a 300zx near me made some and said there not overly hard to make fit and it was a great upgrade :)

believe it or not its cheaper than a skyline seq box which you woudl have to "make fit" so if money is no option this is a bolt on application :D Mike

i have similar settings on low and get a nice 6psi but its the high setting where i am struggling, i would have thought 30% would have given me around 14 psi but i'm at double that so backed it off :(

Jesus seems ages since i had to do all this LOL anyway i am setting up the boost controller on my zed and the low setting ie around 6 or 7 psi no issues, i use very similar settings to others who have posted up their settings but to get around 1 bar i am struggling, your talking around 65% gain to get around 1 bar which falls back to around .9?? cant see any boost leaks any ideas? i know, doing doughnuts on wet grass!!! what a total tosser and if it was me whether the car was a banger or top notch i would have rung the police as well and got him done and for them to have a go for not taking the money is discraceful. in fact no i wouldnt have rung the police, if it had been my wifes car i would have slapped him around and used his head to make the same damage on his s2000
