  2. no mate i didnt go down the Z1 route ;) Mike
  3. I fitted a oil catch tank which pressurised the bottom end as it was not working and when the boost spiked to 1.8 bar i think it did ring number 4 in as its leaking so i cant make anymore power!! so i decided if i'm going to complete the project and make good numbers then i wanted a certain spec to handle 8000 revs etc so i have specified my own spec ;) I am refreshing my engine but sorry its been sold already along with my clutch ;) Mike

    Weirdos
  9. Exactly tony, when i worked out all the costs of machining, parts, and the time and effort of my and my dad doing it as well as the cost of finding a perfect engine to start with, it just was not worth it :) Roll on 6 weeks Mike
  10. shouldnt have done really, depends on what state of tune yours is compared to him?? in standard for the UK spec is 326 bhp compared to 280 zed so it would beat you, stage 1 tune would see a supra 400 bhp and a zed 350 ish so again should beat you pretty easily but as we know its alot down to how well the cars are running and alot down to the driver ;) So good kill :) Mike
  11. i think once its landed will cost me around £7k give or take ;) also changing the clutch as well  :p Mike
  12. yeh after i left you i had a quick drive around but didnt see it again lol
  13. Looked like an exact copy of Sgtc's car but in like a sky blue, sounded nice as well  I was working on my zed at my dads Mike
  14. no its part of a kit you can buy, i got the guy who sells them to take my seats away and do them for me :)

  16. as long as she gets a holiday in august then she doesnt care :p bloody women, sooooo selfish
  17. keeping my greddy td05-18g's and manifolds as they should do a good 600 at the wheels which to be honest is more than enough :) for now
  18. Well after problems and much head scratching and umming and arring and lots of "dont worry love its only £50 honest" Looks like i pressured my bottom end which forced oil out so i had a choice to make, do i give up or sod it its only money lets just go for it!! So ive gone for it ;) just paid my deposit for my new engine and should be built in approx 3-4 weeks then a couple of weeks to ship over here :) New engine spec is: 90mm Forged Pistons with full ceramic coatings Forged Rods ARP Rod Studs ARP Main Studs Block oil passages cleaned Block redecked Block water passage bored out for more water to back cylinders Block Bored and Honed Crank balanced and welded on center weight New Rod and Main bearings (Ceramic Coated) ARP Head Studs Tomei 280 Degree Cams Tomei HD Valve Springs Tomei Solid Lifters Titanium Retainers Ferrera 1mm Oversized Valves 1mm Oversize Valve seats Heads Pressure Tested Heads oil passages cleaned Heads redecked Ported exhaust and intake runners 5 angle valve job Combustion Camber work Valve heights set Metal Head Gaskets OEM Valve stem seals OEM Cam Seals OEM Oil Pump OEM Oil Pump Gasket Also getting a steel 1 peice drive shaft shipped with it as well  Before anyone asks yes its expensive :smash: but tbh with the exchange rate it wasnt worth getting another engine in, ordering all the bits and building it myself. So watch this space Mike
  19. did you sell the scooby Tony?? not thinking of getting the old yellow gal back are you ;) Mike
  20. I dont mind paying for originals and dont own any pirate dvds etc but i also think the industry rips people off especially the gaming industry charging £40-50 a game which costs about 15p to produce and i know they need to be deleloped but they make over 50% clear profit of games!! I have had games before as there perfect and as good as the original ;) Mike
  21. I think for a mental super car For the supercar V12 sound and convertible ;) But for a supercar as an everyday use car, got to be one of these Mike
  22. I dont mean whats wired into the OEM ECU i mean if your running bigger injectors, bigger turbos etc etc the standard ecu wont run it well ;) If you need any advice on what to do let me know and i will try to point you in the right direction :) Mike
  23. yeh as long as its in good all round nick and yes with a newly built engine i recon poss even more?? 4.5k ish
  24. I would hazard a guess it has something to do with all the mods on the car unless your running an aftermarket ECU?

While i agree in principle it "should" be able to happen like that but as you know it rarely does and it always ends up in a slanging match etc and then you just know its going to be closed but i'm sure the mods/committee members wouldnt mind issues being discussed on the board if they were done in the right manner and way!?? I understand that not all people can get to JAE but i'm sure you know someone who will be going and sure you could get them to voice any questions on your behalf?? But from experience when the meetings go on either no one is there or no one speaks up, i know i have sat there!! Mike
