Anyone modded a stock front bumper?
tbh i didnt have to cut it to fit the fmic but just to look a little different/more aggresive and to get more air to the intercooler I did also modify my last zeds bumper as well with meshing and it looked well :)

BHP results .. are there 2 diff standards?
i think 15% poss upto 18% would be max to work it out tbh most rolling roads actually read at the wheels then they convert it to fly which i never understand?? lol

25% who gave you that figure?? more like 15% for manual RWD car, 4WD cars have a loss of about 25% but not a chance for our cars ;)

mapping
Antilag if fine if your running a rally car but it destroys turbos after about 3000-5000 miles!!! but as they change the turbos every rally its not a problem but no good for road use, suppose now and again it wouldnt be too bad ;) My ECU has it but i wont be setting it up, my mapper mainly does rally cars and he was telling me about some of the cars and they have the antilag set so that even on idle the turbo is making 0.5 bar of boost

Quite an awsome Z on ebay
thats what the guy who owns it has told royal??? i thought it was strange as theres no way standard injectors would produce that power and i cant see and aditional injectors? must have 550's at least i would have thought??

mapping
Makes me laugh when people spend thousands on modding a car then get tight when it comes to the most important bit of your car ie the electronics which control eveything!!! Buying an "off the shelf" chip if not too bad if your running basic mods but anymore and the "off the shelf" chips are just basic maps and being as no 2 cars are the same you really need a decent engine management and someone who can map it properly on a dyno who has the experience!! Trust me it may cost more but your car will last longer and you WILL get more power out of your set up i promise you!!! Dont have to cost the earth you can get the emanage fully fitted and mapped for around £500 and go all the way upto the likes of me and MAC with fully standalone units which your looking more like £2k mapped?? Mike

My New Car

Quite an awsome Z on ebay
As i said in my PM to royal be very very careful as its running standard injectors :wack: so i would hazard a guess that either bigger injectors have been removed or the power figures are a load of rubbish??? or (fingers crossed) he has got it wrong and they are bigger injectors :) Mike

L reg Ford for sale £90,000 ono
ive actually sat in that one ;) go to that garage now and again as he does get some nice cars in but i do agree i think its overpriced and i think he got it as another garage near him went bust and he bought all the stock so i doubt he paid anywhere near that :) nice but of rally history though

Leak Down Testing!! How Important
My car runs totally brilliant, no smoke nothing, making good power but obviously we knew something was wrong. Anyway i bought a leakdown tester to see exactly where its losing pressure and whats needed to rebuild it back to 100% Was a real eye opener did a compression test first and all were 160 psi with the engine being cold but number 4 was at 90 odd so i knew that something was wrong there anyway but then we did the leak test and 1,2,3 were all perfect no valve leaks, ring leaks, headgasket leaks etc, did number 4 and we expected a bad result and as we expected went straight down into the red and you listen to where the leak is coming from. Oil cap and its the ring, exhaust and its the exhaust valve, throttle body, inlet valve and if its leakin from the head gasket you will hear it further down the block. Anyway as we expected air was coming from the oil cap!! did 5 and even though it was still in the green it did drop and was leaking from the oil cap again so again the ring is letting pressure through and number 6 was perfect. So i thought i would write this as it goes to show you just because it feels ok, doesnt smoke etc it doesnt mean your not losing power from a leaky ring or valve!!! Would hazard a guess that theres plenty of zeds out there that are leaking without people knowing!! so well worth getting a tester and check it now and again to make sure your car is working to its best ;) Mike
