  1. Few more Basically the spec of the turbo is a GT42/47 with larger comp wheel 110mm throttle boddy 1600cc injectors 5" bore exhaust etc etc going to be looking at around 1200 AWHP which is around 1500 at the fly and he is hoping to brake well into the 8's on the strip and also brake the Veilside R32's 0-300 KPH record which is is attempting at TOTB Mike
  2. Some pics of it
  3. lol the turbo on the left is from a smart car and the turbo on the right is from Keith Cowies car ;) i have some more pics if you want Mike
  4. It is possible to make it fit, in fact it will just bolt up but the skyline one doesnt need to control as much as the zed ecu so some of the functions wont work and you need a dual MAF setup for it to work as well which is not too hard to setup but once you have bought another MAF and filter and wiring, spent £1000+ on the item and mapping you might as well go for an ECU thats been designed for the Zed like the AEM :) Mike
  5. ??? yes there are 2 types a normal one and a Jetro version which uses a MAP sensor but the normal one can go upto any level of power ;) yes your limited to how much air a MAF will flow but on a skyline for example you can run nismo MAFs which will flow 6-700 bhp no problems and the Z32 MAF can flow 450 bhp each hence why they put them on skylines as they can flow upto 900 bhp with supporting mods obviously :) and as i said in my other post here you cant get one for the 300zx but yeh around £1000 supplied and mapped is about right Mike
  6. yeh ive spoken to him, he is alive lol
  7. Not a bad ECU, i had it in my skyline and couldnt fault it Unfortunatly they never made one for the zed, you could make a skyline one fit it but i looked into it and it was not worth it Good peice of kit for the money Mike
  8. oh and changing the height is pretty easy, just measure how far up or down you want and alter the coils to match!! job done
  9. tein flex is my choice, superb quality, 16 way adjustable and ride height adjustable. By the time you have bought some other shocks and springs etc you might as well spend a few extra hundred quid and go for coilovers bud Bazza as selling his brand spanking setup including EDFC which is cool but even if you didnt want EDFC you coul always sell it on for £300 ish ;) Mike
  10. Yes its a very good filter :) its certainly one of the top filters along with Apexi, HKS and PE etc
  11. lol my mum used to bread them and used to have 5 house dogs :wack: but she lost them all eventually but i just bought her one recently, a 5 month old little boy and he is just silly lol you should see him play with our puppy, she is evil to him :)
  12. The veilside just doesnt look right!! it just wrecks the lines of a zed I think the bumper would look better if the front bit was smooth and not "jutting" out Mike
  13. Must be something with the eyes lol evil puppies
  14. Its all personnel preference if it was me i would lose the veilside bumper and replace it with a greddy or WW one and change the wheels for a 5 spoke with big dish and lower it about 30mm Mike
  15. Looking good Paul ;) Is this the car your bringing to me to fit the engine into?? Starting the rebuild of your engine next weekend so should be ready in about 2-3 weeks once i have your other engine :) Speak soon Mike
  16. if its a well built forged engine i wouldnt take any less than 1200-1500 pounds now the turbos are an interesting one as the IHI turbos for the zed are usually the Apexi rx6 turbos so i would check the plate on them for the model number and also the manifolds as only escort racing and pentroof make manifolds for them to fit and if you have them your talking 2k++ to sell them ;) if you need anymore info just let me know Mike
  17. all good names but none are for a little girl are they?? lol how about zed :)
  18. we managed to get 3" intake pipework past the air con ;)
  19. dont believe everything you hear and see!! if the block is in good condition and its been built right then you should have no problems, i was running 90mm pistons before and my new engine is going to run them as well ;) as i said in when that pic was posted before, i suspect bad detting did that damage Mike
  20. yep if anyone can come up with names :) its a female by the way and the wife says her puppies are all mine lol
  21. Were gonna have fun :smw: :) 8 weeks old boxer pup
  22. Dont worry about it, we all get a little excited when we get a new toy ;) My last skyline had the same turbos on it so i know what they can do and there a great turbo setup :) With regards to my spec, watch this space as the spec is changing  Hope your happy with it Mike
  23. they are mate, i have a set for mine ready to bolt on as well ;) yours has them on doesnt it Alex?? With regards to this car, i do like it and its got a great spec, its a little too extreme for me ie roll cage etc but the car was built for track in mind hence the spoiler etc i do think its great that more tuned zeds are coming out of the wood work but i also think that if someone comes on with the attitude of "go on take the pi55 out of my spoiler and lights" and "if you dont like it i will race you" then people are going to comment arnt they?? As i said nice car, be interesting to see it on the track sometime Mike
  24. yep no probs, will an endurance race be ok and i will bring my golf
  25. Yeh nice spec shame about the body mods :) if you want to pit it against mine then let me know ;) Mike
