Thanks for all the info guys. Could be a light at the end of the tunnel :) Since the offence is now over 6 months ago they cant "do" me for it as they have already put forward the "failure to give details etc" so all i have to do it prove that i sent in the letter before i got the summons which i can and the CPS "should" drop the case. The court have been great and moved the court date to 3 weeks away to help get all the info to sort it. So fingers crossed Mike

Right i thought i had sorted this but it is biting me big time on the ass and i'm now worried :( In december is was driving on the M6 doing 70mph when a 4x4 was driving like a dick and was a few inches from my back bumper while i was in the outside lane!! as i couldnt move over due to traffic in the centre lane i accelerated away to move over and let the dick pass but sods law as i accelerated away i was caught by a van on the bridge and got done for 79mph!! So in Feb i got the ticket in the post, took this long as its a company car so they had contacted them first and they told them i was the driver. I knew immediatly what it was for so i called the ticket office to speak to them. After a conversation with the office they said i had a really good case to get the ticket cancelled and needed to write in and the case would be reviewed which i did. Few weeks later i get a reminder about the £60 fine and 3 points?? so i call them again and quess what they never got the letter?? so i asked them for a fax number and faxed it across, called them a few weeks later to get an update and guess what they never got it???? so getting pi55ed off by now i asked for an email address and i emailed it across!! wooohooo i got a call to say she had got it :) A couple of days pass when i get a call from the ticket office to say sorry but they had sent off my file to the courts and they couldnt recall it and i now had to wait till i get the summons and do it all again but it would be heard in court. So i waited for the summons In June i get the summons for July so i completed all the paperwork, i was quite happy as the evidence clearly shows the black 4x4 closely behind me in the pictures, so i sent it all back in. I even called them to check they got it and they confirmed they had and to wait for another summons as the first one would be adjourned so they could look at the evidence. Anyway got a letter on Saturday to say my court date in on the 28th July but i am now being done for "Person other than keeper fail give driver identity"??? i called the court who told me to ring the CPS who i spoke to and they were kind off helpful and are looking at it and basically said they will get my email and if its before the original summons they will cancel the second one and redo the whole thing but as its in a few days they cant guarantee that they will be able to do it in time as it involved getting files sent over etc?? So at this moment i am worried as i have 5 points on my licence and really could do with no more but i dont know what punishment this has or how to approach it so any help is much appreciated. Mike

gonna be a good 4 weeks once i get the engine, get the bits fitted and fit the engine and then theres the running in and mapping so mid to end august i hope :)

didnt have them wheels on when i bought it, it had antera 101's but i still miss the old girl and she is the only car i have every got attached too :cry:

I suppose what i meant it there starting to adapt the turbo ranges which the tuning world can use and take advantage of :) If a skyline 2.8 engine can spool these babies up to 1.2 bar by 2500 revs then a zed would beat that and it would make an unbelievable fast road car :)

Just been reading about this on the GTR club. Someone on there is running the new VNT technology turbos adapted to fit the skyline and hitting 1.2 bar by 2500 revs :cool: For people who dont know what it is it stands for Variable Nozzle Technology and is what all the new TDI cars run but they run very high temps at higher revs so OK for a deisel but no good for a petrol car as it revs higher and the EGT temps are too high and the turbo would only last a few thousand miles but as its moved on its been developed further and about to hit the tuning market by storm ;) Some more info http://www.holset.co.uk/files/2_5_1_5-VGT.php i believe the new 911 turbo is using them as well :) Mike

you really are a dreamer arent you :xxx: me and mac are good friends and all the stuff on here is just messing about between us as its friendly rivalry as we both have pushed the boundaries of tuning zeds in this country and long may it continue. spec wise i dont know what your reading mate??? but mines a pretty good spec and i dont give a flying sh1te if you like it or not, i'm not building it for you or anyone else but to my spec and looks, as i said in my other post, im not a big lover of kits but its all down to preference!! oh and mine produced 26 bhp less than macs so not exactly much difference there mate but we both have a long way to go before we can both say "its finished" if you ever can lol Mike

could be a stuck lifter as well, i had one and my engine sounded terrible, my oil was fairly low and not getting much pressure so topped it up and it free'd it and all was well in the zed world again :)

the problem you have is yes the first port of call is the TLO etc and if you cant rectify the situation then if you choose to go down the solicitor route then the club has to take a back seat for legal reasons ie they cant be seen to be taking sides so now you have gone down that route its between you and your solicitors and as much as you might want to post about it you cant bud. well ive used most pads and i love these, speaking to a few fellow owners who have gone from the porterfields to ferodo pads and there very glad they did ;) saying that i know the porterfield pads are also very good but i prefer the ferodo ones :) Mike

To be honest Lee, if this is going as far as you pointed out in another thread then its gone past the TLO and you shouldnt be discussing it on here as you will do more harm than good. the TLO is there to help but they can only do so much buddy. Mike
