i think i'm correct in saying that the owner cant be prosecuted because a cat is classed as a wild animal. If it was the other way around and a dog was killed i think the owner can be prosecuted because a dog is regarded as property and therefore is subject to the criminal damage laws. I think the only thing he can be charged with is cruelty to animals. p.s. it's very rarely the dogs problem - its normally the owners problem Regards, alex

yes mate - if pete can organise it. it makes sense 1) you know the engine is run in properly 2) it enhances the warranty (i.e. they cant claim it wasnt run in) 3) you get a highly accurate ecu MAP 4) you get a correct crank case bhp figure 5) you dont get burnt off by novas while running in 6) you save the 2000 miles of stone ships on the bodywork 7) you can just pick the car up and away you go (none of this come back in two weeks to set it up nonsense. sounds like a bloody good idea to me Regards, alex
