I think what you need is to get the car to a specialist who knows the 300 and run consult and give it a once over, you may have a boost leak, running in saftey etc. Once your happy with the car running well, then concentrate on the modifications. Barry

Not really given mine a good drive yet, as when I had the conversion done, I had it decatted, but havent reinstalled the o2 sensors yet, so been driving very carefully. Barry

Had mine done in November, seems more responsive now. But really havent driven it alot since and now its in the bodyshop. I liked the Auto, as it suited the car as a sports tourer, but for a bit more fun on the country roads, then manual, as you seem to have more control. Barry

Looks good, have you not considered a very slight tint on the fronts? as the back windows will make the fronts look a little darker and you might just get away with it. Barry

Well, I had another delivery this morning of bits for the car, but must say this is the biggest box Ive ever had delivered. Just wanted to say thanks to Russ (http://www.300zxstyling.co.uk) all the panels arrived dead on 9am this morning. Barry

Yeah, from what I remember, based on a standard 3dr cosworth. Plus I think he wants 20k + for it. Could get a very clean RS500 for that, or build a nice spec Z :) Barry

Ive still got my eye on the RS Forum :) still want an untouched RS500, to sit next to the Z in the garage. Barry

Ive just ordered a 3/4 size plate form http://www.fancyplates.com think it has the same size font, but the plate is smaller, just waiting to see what its like when it arrives. Barry

And been shopping at Demon Tweeks. Just the fibreglass parts to arrive, which should be with me next week. Car dropped off with Phil at C and S Wood for a few bits, then its down to the bodywork shop Monday.

Just wondering what my engine would be worth, its a UK TT (was auto), has 70k on the clock and has always been a great strong engine. Its always been a little bit tappety, but nothing to bad. It has stock turbo's on, which sometimes smokes when left idling. Its had regular oil changes and has lightened pulley set and recent timing belt. Also, whats UK manual box worth, with all parts for the conversion, this has a new RPS street clutch, new pivot ball and lightened flywheel. Not for sale yet, just looking at what options are open for me. Thanks Barry

Im after reliability (dont laugh) hence the upgrades internally. I want a nice driveable car, without too much lag, but hoping the mods I plan will help with that from the bigger turbo's. Barry

Looking to have the engine rebuilt during the next month, while the car is away having the bodywork done. I have been speaking to Traders and 300zx members for advice, thanks everyone. Unfortunately couldnt afford carbon roof, just painting the top of the windscreen black, and top of tailgate, so it all blends in with darkened glass. The carpet is being made by http://www.coverdalecarpets.com, will have pics mid to late February. Barry

Have a word with PK, he knows everything about these, theres only one kit to get and thats the GT Factory kit. Do a search, theres lots of info about why this is the best kit. Barry
