The vibration could be either the centre bearing on the propshaft, or the uj could be stiff or worn. Best to get it checked out and not waste your money on one item when it could be the other. If the vibration/juddering is coming from the front, then it is a bad boost leak. Does the boost guage boost over 0? Al.

I had starting issues with my 300 when i first got her, and was told it was the alternator. I got it checked and was not the case, the problem was a bad connection (earth i think) to the stater, quick fix and has been fine. HTH. Al.

Agreed...... check oil level, sounds like you are loosing oil, thus higher temp and lower pressure will result. Al.
